S&B Posted December 31, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 31, 2015 I have been looking on the HAL website and cannot find any V of V cruise for 2017 in July or August. Are they not having those cruises or is it too early to be posted on their website. Thanks for any info.
lazey1 Posted December 31, 2015 #2 Share Posted December 31, 2015 I have been looking on the HAL website and cannot find any V of V cruise for 2017 in July or August. Are they not having those cruises or is it too early to be posted on their website. Thanks for any info. HAL has had a V of V cruise every year for a long time and it usually sells out fairly rapidly. I expect that it is just to early to be posted on the website. Krazy Kruizers Posted December 31, 2015 #3 Share Posted December 31, 2015 Be patient. I am sure that HAL will have a Voyage of the Vikings. This past year HAL has been late posting a lot of itineraries.
InTheWASide Posted January 1, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 1, 2016 Typically it will be released at the exact same time as all of Europe for a given year (excl Prinsendam, those come out separate)

Cruiser Andi Posted January 1, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 1, 2016 I talked to my PCC about a Europe 2017 cruise yesterday. She was able to see itinerary and give me pricing. They just aren't on the website yet. I was looking at a 12 day Norway//Scotland itinerary.
iflyrc5 Posted January 1, 2016 #8 Share Posted January 1, 2016 We did the Voyage of the Vikings this year - great cruise. It is in late July and Aug so the schedule won't be out for a while.

freestyling Posted January 1, 2016 #12 Share Posted January 1, 2016 (edited) I would love to start making plans for 2017. The ship will be Rotterdam. Never been on this one and the reviews are mixed. This cruise has been on our bucket list for quite some time. We now have the time but need to be sure we will enjoy the ship (Love the itinerary) and that we can justify / afford a room with veranda. Dave in NJ Posted January 1, 2016 #13 Share Posted January 1, 2016 (edited) I've done the VOV in segments, twice. 2001 on Amsterdam Copenhagen back to NYC, and in 2004 on Rotterdam NYC to Amsterdam. Either of those 2 ships would be splendid for the trip but it's such a great itinerary I'd take it on any HAL ship. And don't delay in booking it! It is against CC guidelines for me to mention a website here but if you do a Google search using "cruise vacations" you will find the site in the top three adds. You will be asked to register but then you can search by month, cruise line, port, length of cruise, etc.

freestyling Posted January 1, 2016 #18 Share Posted January 1, 2016 Wow...I have the time to do the 38 days but will have to convince myself and DW that an ocean view room will work for us for this cruise!
catl331 Posted January 1, 2016 #19 Share Posted January 1, 2016 We did the transAtlantic on the Eurodam ocean view room. Denmark Norway, Iceland Greenland etc. Aug into Sept. Worked out just fine for us.

I wondered which ship would do VoV. Rotterdam did it before Maasdam and now they're back to Rotterdam. That's a good ship for that itinerary. That's a good ship for that itinerary. IMO We haven't been on this ship yet and are use to veranda cabins but if we do VoV in 2017 would need to either go with Lanai or unobstructed ocean view. I get abit claustrophobic so need large port hole window at a minimum. Very thankful we have the problem of deciding which will workout best. Rare 1of4 Posted January 3, 2016 #25 Share Posted January 3, 2016 I'm waiting for the Australia, New Zealand, and South Pacific out of San Diego in September 2017. Couldn't pull it up on the one of the top three sites under Cruise Vacations. Did I do it wrong? No, you did nothing. I just went in to check for you and there are no cruises listed leaving from Sad Diego from August through October. There is nothing, in fact, in the Pacific...or the South Pacific. Alaska, Transatlantic, Norway, Baltics, Canada/New England, British and Greek Isles, Mediterranean, Northern Europe, and repositioning but no Australian, New Zealand or South Pacific. Sorry. The repositioning are all from Europe back to Florida. Keep checking! I found this for 2016 to give you an idea (it was the only one listed from September through October 2016: 39 nights departing September 29, 2016 on Holland America's Noordam Important Note: Visas are required for this itinerary.
