NSWP Posted January 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2016 (edited) Good morning all, just a query re the Princess '3 for Free' Promo. I Have a question re the speciality restaurant part, for those who have done the promo in recent times. How does reservation go for that? Voucher in your cabin and you ring the particular restaurant? or do it pre embarkation? I have done the speciality restaurants before, but by booking on board and paying for it on my shipboard a/c, not via the 3 for Free promo. Thanks. NFA, just found out from Princess, you have to do speciality restaurant reservation on board via 'Dine Line' or in person at Restaurant. They will be busy on Emerald Princess if nearly everyone on board gets the '3 for free promo.' I am sure in previous years one could do it via cruise personaliser. Izabelle Posted January 14, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 14, 2016 I would make sure you have something to print and take with you, we had a bottle of wine and a specialty restaurant plus OBC for our Golden Princess cruise in Oct, there was a voucher for the wine but nothing for the restaurant, on enquiring I was told it didn't show anything on my booking, I then showed them what I had printed out, they took a copy of it and still had to check with head office and I was told it had to be confirmed by them. It took a few days before I finally got the go ahead to book, I think without the printout I took with me I wouldn't have had any chance of getting the dinner at Crown Grill.....it was excellent btw. Thanks for heads up. I will take all my paperwork with me ! Princess told me they issue a voucher and it will be in one's cabin on embarkation, like your shorex tickets. We shall wait and see !! From what I have seen, the envelopes are in the 'letter box' outside each cabin door. I think it is there at embarkation. If not, it would be soon after :) Edited January 14, 2016 by Aus Traveller
The_Big_M Posted January 14, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 14, 2016 I had everything in my cabin on boarding - was surprised how soon it was, given the longer experiences on other lines. However, we were given a voucher credit for the restaurant instead (due to the duration of the cruise), so doesn't apply to your situation. icat2000 Posted January 14, 2016 #8 Share Posted January 14, 2016 I have found that Princess are pretty efficient with this. My tours, obc vouchers, casino vouchers were all in my room, also voucher for bottle of wine from one booking when I first went to the cabin. I do take print outs of everything though. Lanwood Posted January 14, 2016 #10 Share Posted January 14, 2016 The voucher will be in your cabin on arrival. If there running a bit behind, it will be shortly after your arrival. ***always bring a copy of your booking just in case there is a problem. I've never had one, but the pursers desk will sort for you if there was an "oversight"*** You book your restaurant like normal, and sign the account like normal, but show and sign the voucher on arrival so the charge is credited back to your account. On my latest cruise, I had a voucher for a speciality restaurant, a couple of vouchers for wine from my TA, vouchers for my pre-paid drinks packages, vouchers for my pre-paid internet, voucher for chocolates from a fellow passenger, an envelope container my pre-booked excursions etc etc. About half was already in my cabin on arrival (about 11:45am) and about half was in my cabin later that afternoon prior to sailing. As has always been the case on my previous cruises also. They're pretty efficient.
Hawka Posted January 14, 2016 #11 Share Posted January 14, 2016 i was told by princess that solos dont get the 3 for free promo I did have it till the price went down further SSSI I took the bigger discount, solos going by my biking at the time DUI get it, can't see why they wouldn't if that was the promo at the time of booking
NSWP Posted January 14, 2016 Author #12 Share Posted January 14, 2016 (edited) Thanks for all the info ladies and gentlemen. Our Emerald Princess cruise in November will be the first time we have got the '3 for Free' Promo, obc, shorex credit and speciality dining, after 18 Princess cruises I reckon we have earned it !! (Just like the complimentary laundry, mini bar, internet time, priority embarkation/disembarkation/tendering, etc.) Edited January 14, 2016 by NSWP

icat2000 Posted January 15, 2016 #14 Share Posted January 15, 2016 (edited) i was told by princess that solos dont get the 3 for free promo It depends on the category booked under. However if a solo is paying the same price as 2 people sharing the cabin then they should get it. Otherwise what's top stop people putting a dummy name on the booking *shrugs* Last year when they had a similar sale I got the bottle of wine. as a solo cruiser.
