cvschmitt Posted February 3, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2016 Found an excursion we want to take, but it requires a very early morning check in. Any one know how often the tenders run overnight or early in the morning, say 6:00 am?

Any one know how often the tenders run overnight or early in the morning, say 6:00 am? Tenders probably don't run between sunset and sunrise. BourbonNBluesLuvr Posted February 3, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 3, 2016 (edited) Hello, We did an overnight in Maui on Celebrity....Tenders run all night. We had to be off by 2am. We were told they would run every approx 30-45 minutes...or when people were waiting...there were 5 of us and 3 crew that went ashore at that hour...we went down to the tender deck, waited about 5 mins...and off we went. No problem. And there were folks who took a tender just before us, and after us...also on a Sunrise Bike Tour...no problems ! CRUZBUDS Posted February 4, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 4, 2016 Yes, they ran all night long.....pretty much whenever there was someone ready to go.....we were alone on the tender when we came back from a very late luau. I'm guessing very late, but really fun luau ;) I'll also confirm, both times we had overnights in Lahaina - they ran all night. There is no wait at all the second day. Aloha! PS -- Please Celebrity bring back the R/T Hawaii's from San Diego. We did five and would do it every year, if offered.
Desertbelle Posted February 4, 2016 #6 Share Posted February 4, 2016 I'm guessing very late, but really fun luau ;) To be fair, the luau, which did run to about 12 pm was fantastic, but what took us so long to get back to the tender was parking our rental car. We walked back to the paid parking lot that we thought we could use all night to pick up something from the car and noticed a sign saying cars left there after 6 am would be towed. ACK!! So we removed the car and drove around until we could find a better spot to park, which turned out to be a 45 minute walk back to the pier. (It was a beautiful night and we didn't mind) We got there around 2 am.....the tender was sitting there empty except for the two crew members running it. We hopped in and we left immediately. Only later, when we turned in the rental did we learn that those tow signs were not serious and we would have been fine.
cvschmitt Posted February 5, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted February 5, 2016 Thanks everyone for the responses. We are going to go ahead and book our excursion. Thanks to Desertbelle for the included info abut the rental car. We are going to get a 2 day rental and park it overnight as well. Go to know about the paid lot. baseball1966 Posted April 14, 2019 #9 Share Posted April 14, 2019 Do the Celebrity Maui tenders in Lahaina still run 24 hours? Can we get off around 5am? We are in port overnight and need to get off very early the second day....

One warning is there isn't much going on in Lahina after about 9:00 PM. A number of crew I spoke with said they went ashore after finishing up their work schedule and said it was so dead they just returned to the ship.
