A couple of freebies I found on ship!

Last month I sailed Carnival for the first time. There were a couple of free items I learned about.

 

The first was playing cards. You can go to the guest services desk and they will give you them free. They even asked how many do you want.

 

The second was the featured picture. My niece was featured on the wall. All my sister had to do was ring the bell and she got a copy for free.

Just got off of the Magic yesterday, and I really wish I'd known about the cards! I brought some with us, but they were an old casino pack, and they were difficult to shuffle. We never had a featured picture, but I will definitely remember that for next time.

Yes. But I will also add that one of the ships that we were on (forget which one) they acted like it was a big deal and made sure that we were going to play before they gave us one. :rolleyes:

No luck with having my photo featured, but I do remember seeing the sign on Fantasy in December that if you photo was featured on this case its free.

 

Interesting. I wasn't aware of that. We had a photo featured in 2014. However, it was a horrible photo of us, so we wouldn't have wanted it even if it was free.

Yes! On my Breeze cruise our photo was featured on the Wall of Fame. I always check now! Most people don't realize it's even there or the photo is free of its featured there.

That was us! We were on the board and didn't read the sign:rolleyes: and figure out that if your photo makes it there, you get it for free! We realized it on our next cruise! I look all the time now;)

Yes. On our cruise 3 different families in my group were featured on the wall. They kept them in a folder from each night. If you missed them on the wall you could still get them for free out of the folder.

We got free cards on the Sunshine in January.

 

The featured wall is near the entrance to the photo gallery. If your picture is on it - it's free. On our sailing, most of the featured photos were funny and maybe not your best photo.

 

I saw one boarding picture that was unique- the backdrop was green and this one family all wore (coincidentally I am sure) shirts that were very close to the same color. Their boarding picture was a bunch of disembodied heads over their legs.

We got a free photo for being on the featured wall. It was to began as a nice photo of us getting of the boat on the gangway. 3 of us posed with smiles and my husband made some dorky expression that I'm sure they thought was funny. He found it in the wall and we got it for free. It makes us laugh every time we look at it.

We were on the Conquest in January and our group decided to play cards one sea day but no one had brought any cards on board. Went to guest services and they were out of cards but told us to go to the casino and you can buy used cards for a dollar. Did and the cards looked brand new. :)
