Sydney port for Princess

Recommended Posts

Hi, No where in my docs. Does it tell me which port the Diamond Princess leaves from in Sydney. I'm guessing White Bay but would like to be certain. Anyone know?

Once again, thanks for all the help

It is more likely to be the Overseas Passenger Terminal (in the centre of Sydney). If we know the date of your cruise it is easy to look at the ports schedule.

Yes, Diamond always docks at the Overseas Passenger Terminal.

BTW if you look at the Itinerary in your personalizer it should show the terminal there. It does for my Golden cruise in April.

As all the above have said. Diamond is way too large to fit under the bridge so White Bay is out of the question.

Definitely at the main terminal at Circular Quay (pronounced key) in the heart of the city. If there are several large ships in harbour you may have to share a bouy for a time but i am sure your itinerary will show docked.

Definitely the Overseas Passanger Terminal (OPT) George Street, The Rocks.

Only spot in Sydney Diamond CAN dock.

Not quite true. She could also dock at Garden Island, on the rare occasion that the Navy allows a cruise ship to dock there.

Definitely can't get to White Elephant Bay though.

I take it that Gut was referring to cruise terminals that can be docked at.

Since Garden Island isn't a cruise terminal

Cruise ships have docked there in the past.

And since OP was asking about Embarking I thought Garden Island was totally ruled out anyway.

I didn't say they hadn't docked there. I said it wasn't and isn't a cruise terminal.

When they dock there, there are special operations to transfer them to and from the actual cruise terminal.

In respect of the topic, Diamond Princess would not be using there as it has only been used in special circumstances which would no longer be required.
