Just read on a social media network that BA is fighting 20 ft. Waves with listing and lots of creaking going on.

This comes from a CC member who is aboard! Captain to give an update around 1:00 p.m.

Captain has already changed course once.

We were on last month and had 45 foot waves. The ship was rocking but the Captain engaged the stabilizers and it wasn't that bad. I slept great that night! Closet doors kept opening up and some glassware slid around a bit but everyone felt safe. I have some good video of the waves in the ocean and also the pools. I will be posting them in my review, but I still have a long way to go until I get to that point. I think it was day 12 of 14 and I'm only on day 5.

I checked out the webcam on NCL.com and it is showing partly sunny skies and waves that don't look too bad with a couple of employees standing by the bow. Obviously I'm not on the ship so I won't judge but if it was really that bad I would find it very hard to believe a couple of employees would be standing by the bow.

20 ft seas are not bad on a ship of this size! Web cam currently showing a sunny sky and moderate waves, maybe 8-10 or less. What link is giving the report of listing etc.? Fighting a storm seems a bit dramatic!

Interesting read. Can you post the link please?

It was from a social media web from a current cruiser on board! One of those prohibited sites , not suppose to be mentioned here!

Only going on what she has been updating.

Jeannie posted last night about 10 p.m. That there were fight 40 ft waves of the coast of NC /Virginia.

Waves were as high as deck 7 with minor flooding! She is on deck 8. Reported that the rocking and rolling usually doesn't affect her, but feeling very nauseated from it!

I was on the GEM a few weeks ago (30 foot waves).

No problems except for sea sickness for a lot of the passengers and some of the crew.

Being in the aft, it was much better than being forward from what I heard.

Our Captain also changed course and IMHO it was not bad at all.

There was a lot worse movement and creaking when I was cruising in the 80's when the ship's were much smaller. :)

I believe the Anthem of the Seas had problems because they lost functioning of a propeller (I heard that on the news last night).

Not sure if RCI confirmed that.

Someone just posted from on board. They reported water in the ocean.

I suggest everyone calm down and watch the Poseidon Adventure.

Even worse I hear is it may rain. Oh no! The water may actually get wet!

So that's why people get out of the pools and run away when it rains. :D

Thanks for reminding me of one of my favorite afternoons on a cruise ship -- sitting in a hot tub in the pouring rain in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean on a TA. Don't know why there were only three of us enjoying this. :)
