Jaylie Posted February 14, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2016 We will be on the Regal for the first time next week. We don't plan to do any excursions, so we are wondering what we might do around the ship. A few thoughts: going to the casino, speaking with a booking consultant to set up a future cruise, going to a movie. Would these things be available? CruisingJs Posted February 14, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2016 The casino and the shops are closed when the ship is in port. I don't think the future cruise consultant has hours at that time either but I haven't actually checked.
sueandkent Posted February 14, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 14, 2016 There will likely be a movie or something on MUTS. Pools, bars, IC and buffet all open. There is usually limited activities scheduled. All shops and casino closed. Depending on your itinerary it's often nice just to wander around the cruiseport for awhile. RocketMan275 Posted February 14, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 14, 2016 The shore excursion we take will be a rare event. We usually do get off the ship to wander around the port but seldom get more than 500 yards from the ship. We've never had a problem with what to do on the ship during port days. In fact, we enjoy having most of the passengers off swimming with something or other. This next cruise we're in port at San Juan. We will take the time to go visit the fort, not as an excursion but self-guided.
Kamloops50 Posted February 14, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 14, 2016 The Future Cruise consultant will be open for part of the time in port. Check the daily schedule for hours there open.

OCruisers Posted February 14, 2016 #8 Share Posted February 14, 2016 On port days there are normally "specials" in the Lotus Spa.
Northender Posted February 14, 2016 #9 Share Posted February 14, 2016 If we stay onboard, we usually go to the International Café in the morning and enjoy Deck 17 after lunch on the Royal or Regal. It is a wonderful open area for enjoying the outside.:) It is also a good time to check your emails, etc. at the Internet Café.:D Just bring a book and relax. cubfan63 Posted February 14, 2016 #10 Share Posted February 14, 2016 Alfredo's will be open as it is open everyday from 11am to 11pm, even on port days.
cruising nole fan Posted February 14, 2016 #11 Share Posted February 14, 2016 Most of the ole timers are playing cards or board games, if not swimming in the pool.
Pushka Posted February 14, 2016 #12 Share Posted February 14, 2016 Love being on the ship during port days. Crew seems more relaxed. Its annoying when those pesky cruise people start boarding again. Noticed good spa specials during port days.
