I always wait for the Drop & Go deals. I have never really had a bad cabin. Also, my dates are flexible so that I just pick a month and look for the best deal. I am booked on the Regal in March and saved $250 per person by waiting til 45 days out. If you do not have flexibility in timing this strategy could be like playing Russian roulette.

Called this morning - less OBC but lower cabin price so I was able to save about $150 pp on our July 2016 Scandinavian cruise. Since final payment is April 18th I probably won't get another sale but I'll continue to look.

The cost of our cabin on our Alaska cruise went UP. And, no more twice as nice OBC.

 

Glad we locked ours in.

Our baltic cruise dropped by $840 today... princess obc dropped due to the new sale but still saved $500.
