laundry question on Caribbean

Are the self service laundry rooms paid with quarters or your room card? Thanks for the help.

I remember reading on Cruise Critic that the CB has switched to tokens which are purchased with your cruise card. $3 token to wash. $3 token to dry.

You buy tokens from a machine using your card.

 

$3 a wash same a dry, $1.50 detergent.

We just got off the Diamond and you use your cruise card to purchase tokens for the washer and dryer, $3.00 per token. You need one token for the washer and one token for the dryer. We did two loads and it cost us $12.00.

I'm curious too. Last year on the Emerald it was quarters. We are sailing the Caribbean Princess in a couple weeks and wondering what their machines take. I usually bring a bunch of quarters in a baggie (along with my detergent pods and dryer sheets) but don't want to bring the quarters if they aren't used any longer. Hopefully someone that recently got off the Caribbean can give an accurate answer here.

Caribbean takes tokens, you can still take your quarters for the money /shelf game (whatever it is called) in the casino.

I was on the Royal Princess in January. My friend used tokens you can get them with your cruise card.
