SMall refrigerators

I am going on Holland America Line for the first time. Do they have small refrigerators in inside cabin rooms. I need this for medicine I am taking along.

I would ask on the Holland forum:

I know that some cruise lines will give you a medical refrigerator upon request, because the stateroom fridge might not get cold enough, depending on your meds.

The older HAL ships--Prinsendam, Maasdam, Veendam, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Volendam and Zaandam--only have fridges in Deluxe Veranda cabins and Suites. Those in other cabins can request one if medically necessary.

The other HAL ships have one in every cabin. They should be the standard half-size mini fridges; I have never seen one as small as a cube-sized fridge on any ship.

Just be aware these things don't get very cold.In fact, I just got off the Nieuw Amsterdam and when I put a soda inside, I really couldn't tell the difference between one that just got out of the 'minibar' or was just stored in a closet.

Actually the Prinsendam does have a fridge in every cabin--not just the Deluxe Veranda cabins and Suites.

I see you have posted your question on the Holland America Board.

It is always a good idea to post cruise line specific questions on the respective cruise line boards.

And when it comes to question like this one it is much better to also list the cruise ship you are on as there can be differences between ships.
