daddyo Posted March 23, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 23, 2016 We are planning a cruise next year and are trying to use Hiltons Honors Points. Given the choice of location; would the Hilton or Conrad be recommended? It appears that the Conrad has somewhat better facilities, but location is the key. Any input is appreciated. Rare OzKiwiJJ Posted March 24, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 24, 2016 (edited) The Conrad is in a very good location, very close to one MRT station, Promenade (Yellow and Blue lines) and also close to Esplanade (Yellow line and accessed from an underground walkway from Marina Square shopping centre) and City Hall (Red and Green lines) which is further away via the underground air-conditioned walkways. The Hilton is in Orchard Rd, about a block and a half of ground level walking to Wheelock Place from which you can go through Ion Orchard to the Orchard MRT station. It all depends how much shopping you want to do :D Orchard Road is shopaholic heaven. :D Personally I prefer the location of the Conrad. I stayed there many years ago, but have also stayed in a number of other hotels in that area. It's a short walk to the waterfront, and there is a very good hawker stall complex there plus several restaurants. The Yellow and Red lines will take you to Marina Bay Sands, the Red line takes you to the Marina Bay Cruise Terminal. 4774Papa Posted March 24, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 24, 2016 Not sure if you are locked into Hilton due to points, but if not, consider saving a lot of money with the Royal Plaza on Scotts near the Orchard Road MRT.
