Quick review - Voyager of ther Seas Diamond Lounge

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks,

Just back off VOS for the first time since her makeover & found she is looking good & the new Diamond Lounge addition was a welcome change.

The new DL located Deck 14 is bright & cheerful with the large floor to ceiling windows down one side & new fresh furniture.

There is a sizeable deck area as well with room for about 5 tables & is next to the rock climbing wall & looks down over the basketball court which often provided entertainment of the spectator kind.

The Diamond Concierge was Laura from Canada who did a good job, but the star was the drinks waiter Alphonso from India, he is very affable & does a great job keeping you supplied with free drinks in the Diamond Happy Hour of 5pm to 8.30pm.

During the day they serve light meals such as continental breakfast (cereal, toast, pastries, fruit etc), morning tea is fresh rolls with assorted fillings, late afternoon evening was a varying assortment of hot foods like mini spring rolls, samosas, as well as canapés, fruit, cheese & assorted sweet cakes, strawberries in chocolate etc.

The make your own coffee/tea/hot chocolate machine was useful & available all day.

A nice quiet spot during the day to read & got busy in the evening.

Met quite a few fun & interesting people which for me is the main reason for attending the DL - a chance to converse with others from all around the world who enjoy cruising.

The DL holds about 70 people & we never had an issue getting a seat - our cruise had approx. 98 Diamonds & 12 Diamond Plus passengers on board.

Thanks for the update. Will have to wait another 11 months and 3 weeks. Not counting:)

The lounges usually have top servers. After the first day, most usually have your drink ready by the time you find a seat. With the extra drinks on th card from the bars, i may need assistance finding the dining room:eek:
