loveandcruises Posted April 3, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2016 I was reading someone's Cruise Critic review of the Grandeur of the Seas, and the writer said there was no shampoo, conditioner or soap in the cabin. Seriously?
Spurschick Posted April 3, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 3, 2016 (edited) I was reading someone's Cruise Critic review of the Grandeur of the Seas, and the writer said there was no shampoo, conditioner or soap in the cabin. Seriously? As far as I am aware standard cabins have a dispenser in the shower with an "all in one" product. (Unless they were removed?) Bars of soap provided. Suites get the individual products. Merion_Mom Posted April 3, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 3, 2016 If you are lacking something when you arrive, just ask your cabin steward. S/he will bring what you request. The quality of those products may or may not meet your standards. I take my own. :D
Wanderista Posted April 3, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 3, 2016 I'm planning to bring my own shampoo/conditioner because I use specific products that I like. I do hope to just use their bar soap though. I have no idea what my friend will do but she's actually going on the Grandeur for 10 days later in April (very lucky and her first cruise) so she'll know what she's doing by then. Wanderista Posted April 3, 2016 #6 Share Posted April 3, 2016 Actually, the ability to bring my full-sized shampoo, conditioner and body wash on the cruise without worrying about liquid size or carrying on vs. checking is a very appealing aspect of cruising to me! Melozone Posted April 3, 2016 #7 Share Posted April 3, 2016 I bring my own shampoo and conditioner and use the dispenser as body wash. There were bars of soap that I used at the sink to wash my hands.
Clarea Posted April 3, 2016 #8 Share Posted April 3, 2016 I was reading someone's Cruise Critic review of the Grandeur of the Seas, and the writer said there was no shampoo, conditioner or soap in the cabin. Seriously? So far, Vision is the only ship that seems to have a policy of not having a combo shampoo/conditioner dispenser in the shower.

BND Posted April 3, 2016 #10 Share Posted April 3, 2016 I bring my own shampoo and conditioner. DH uses whatever they provide. Our experience is we always have it provided in the cabin.

alexkrn46 Posted April 4, 2016 #12 Share Posted April 4, 2016 We were on the IOS in February, there was no soap available, had to use our own. My husband thought it was funny they have videos about washing ad then not having soap.
