Cabin near elevators

Anyone have a cabin in this location before? I am wondering if there will be much noise because of the foot traffic with guests walking back and forth to the elevator banks. I am speaking of mid ship where there are 6 elevators and a large staircase.

We always book midship near the elevators. The convenience cannot be beat! There has never been a noise problem. The only time we have experienced noise issues is when there were inside cabins directly across the hall and there would be loud conversations when people would be entering and exiting multiple cabins. It never bothered me but drives my friend's husband crazy!

We always book mid-ship near elevators too. I have never found the noise to be worse there. Drunk loud people or screaming kiddos are going to be loud all the way to their staterooms, so I don't think the location matters for that. We have never heard any actual mechanical elevator noise. And it is very convenient.

I imagine the the deck plays a lot into this. We were on deck 5 on the fascination one time right near them and it was very noisy but a couple years later on the triumph on deck 7, never even noticed any noise at all.

On the spirit class ships it can be noisy from the music in the atrium near the mid-ship elevators but that's a different kind of noise problem.

Passengers that allow their cabin balcony doors to slam all the time, now that I have to say gets old quick.

I can only imagine that the person who designed the doors on Carnival ships is hearing impaired. Even some hotels have extra-slammy doors and I have trouble understanding how that could pass any Q/C test for a place designed for people to sleep.

I'm speaking of the Dream, deck 1 where there is pretty much only cabins above and crew below.

Interior or OV? I'd have more concerns with the cabin backing up to the elevators than an OV where it does not.

This is an OceanView room, but the room can literally be seen from the stairway near the elevators. Seems like everytime I open the door someone will be right there. Also when its being cleaned and the door is propped open all of our belongings will be on display.

We had an OV on Main Deck but it did not face the opening to the vestibule; it was like 1 over from that. No elevator noise. In fact, never heard people, but that was because we were in a short run of rooms behind the elevators, and there was an opening just forward and aft of the elevator lobby, so the only people that would be in our section of hall way were the 5 or 6 rooms between the two vestibule entrances. See if you can move to one of those. Otherwise if you are near the beginning of a long hallway everyone has to pass your room...

For instance, see about rooms like 1235, 1237 or 1234, 1236.

1232 and 1233 have housekeeping storage rooms next to them.

Last time I booked a stateroom by the elevators, it was the people waiting for elevators that didn't pack their indoor voices especially the parents yelling at kids. Also the teens running up and down the stairs that were loud.

What about Lido deck, 2 doors from the lido pool area? How's the noise level there?

Great location, we have booked there several times. The cabins are behind a wall so they are very quiet and private. The convenience of being on the Lido is also a prime consideration.

Agree! We always book Lido, almost same room every time, even if on different ship. Have heard music from Lido while out on balcony, but I like that. Never noticed elevator noise. Very convenient!

We were right around the corner from an elevator bank. We ended up liking that location so much we booked the same room the following year.

Just a warning for others. I was near the mid elevators on the Breeze. You could hear the entertainment from the Atrium like it was in your room. If you need quiet and retire early. Stay away.

We just got off the Conquest and had a OS on deck 7 midship right near the elevators.......Loved the cabin and Location as it was easy to hop on and go down to deck 5 and be right at the shops, casino etc

Out of all the nights on the cruise there were prob only 2 of them where I was in the cabin around 11pm and as PussyWillow stated the Entertainment and Live music from deck 5 Atrium was soooo loud it was if the cabin door wasn't closed

Even turning up the tv didn't help lol. So I went and closed both fire doors and the prob was solved

I'd still book this ocean suite and most nights I was in the casino till 12-2am so by the time I got to the cabin the entertainment had stopped

Just be aware of your a early to bed cruiser you could encounter the noise from deck 5

We had a cove balcony on the Dream right next to the atrium elevators/stairs. It was very quite, and I did not remember there being a lot of foot traffic near our room. I loved the location. Very convenient.

Always get a room close to elevators, don't like walking in the narrow hallways, never had a problem with noise
