We were on the 1-12-20 Carnival Freedom 7 day cruise.  The Meet n Mingle was only offered by invite on the 5th day of the cruise after the Nassau stop.  It was scheduled at 6pm, most everyone had dinner at 6 so at least half the meet and mingle including myself did not attend.  We found that Carnival should have had it the first sea day so we could all meet.  I wonder if it was intentional on Carnival's part.  On the first day I did ask at Guest Services when it would be and was told they will be scheduling it. Oh well.

Stupid of them to put it at 6pm, hard enough to get people there at a reasonable time.

It's right above these posts. Near the top of the page, there several tabs on the left hand side. One of the tabs is 'Meet & Mingle'. Lots of good info & instructions on how to set one up.

I have participated in both meet and mingles and slot pulls always organized or so I thought, through another member of cruisecritic.  Always well organized and always loads of fun.  At most of the ones I've attended there have been cruisecritic logo items there and the casino manager was involved (free tshirt or two).  My question is how does this work?  Is it organized by the cruise line or is it organized by the member here? At some the cruise director has stopped by and had free door prizes.  I may become the organizer and I'm not sure how to start? Any thoughts??

Signed up for 4 of these. 2 never happened, one was held at 6 PM (dinner time) and the other they put out a table with lemonade and cookies and had rap music so loud you couldn't have a conversation. No organization, no door prizes, no host. For those cruises I planned M&G's and  slot pulls and got Carnival to donate door prizes and they all were a lot of fun.

Have attended 2 cc meet and mingles, one had about 12 people, the other had 4 people show up. Posted in fun times. 

If no one shows up..... I doubt if Carnival  will hold them. Sign up and show up if they want these to continue. Have attended about 6 fb meet and greets made quite a few enew cruise pals.

It's been 8 years since we have cruised with Carnival,  we have  cruised with Princess since then and have always had an active Meet n Mingle group and I'm disappointed that there hasn't been more interest in a Meet n Mingle for our Carnival Horizon Cruises on Oct 30 and Nov 7 of this year!

When you log onto cruise critic they have a list of 9 cruise ship who have paused their meet & greet. It may take awhile before M&G are back.
