Port or Starboard side for Panama canal cruise ports

Hi!

I know it does not matter whether your cabin is on port or starboard side for the Panama canal transit; however I am wondering if anyone know which side the ship usually faces the dock for the partial Panama canal cruise ports, ie Limon etc?

We would like to have a cabin on that side, if possible ;)

Cheers :D

Thanks for the replies! We have booked a balcony on the port side.

Oh, don't worry! We won't be confined to our balcony. We will be going out on deck to enjoy the view approaching ports and see the Panama canal locks! :D

We had a starboard side cabin for an east west transit (actually north south) and were very happy with what we saw, however we would likely choose a port side next time only for the change in scenery.

We are doingthis cruise for the second time. Last cruise we had a starboard side balcony and would have missed a great deal if we stayed in our room. Not sure which ship you are on but we were on HAL and they opend the front of the ship which is usually locked for passengers. We were out their really early as soon as they announced that it was open to grab a spot by the rail tow atch the workings of the mule and such. We again booked port side so we can stay in our rooms until the sun comes up at least.
