DM_KidAtHeart Posted April 17, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2016 They only started disembarkation about 20 minutes ago. They said there was some national computer problems in the port. Last "estimated" disembark call time is 11:30.
Wilson Posted April 17, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 17, 2016 Well that sucks for all. I hope the rest of the cruise was enjoyable. We board a week from today.

Last "estimated" disembark call time is 11:30. That 11:30 estimate was probably pretty close. We were in group 31 and walked out of the terminal right at noon. There may have been a computer issue, but there was also an “Alpha Alpha Alpha” call at 6:45 AM. I heard someone mention that there were two medical issues that morning. So those may have affected our disembarkation.
Paul65 Posted April 18, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 18, 2016 These things do happen from time to time. That's why, when people ask the questions like, "will I make a 12:00 flight . . .", the answer is usually a firm maybe. You never know for sure that things will be on time. When we got back on the Liberty a couple weeks ago, we were in our car and on the road by about 7:40 am. But I've also cruised out of Galveston before when there was fog that held up ships coming into the Galveston channel, so the ship wasn't even there yet, when we arrived to embark. I think it finally got in and started to disembark passengers somewhere around 3pm, and we weren't even on the ship yet at our scheduled 5:30 dinner time. (Of course, they were very flexible about dining times that first night, as everyone was thrown off by the delays.)

Why we never book an early flight off a ship. In most cases a day or two later so we can relax and enjoy a night or two in Florida or San Juan:)
JaniceB Posted April 19, 2016 #8 Share Posted April 19, 2016 Picked a 230 leaving HOU from our Galveston cruise. I was starting to think that was too late until I read this.
Droid13 Posted May 2, 2016 #9 Share Posted May 2, 2016 A lot of people just missed their flights... Almost did on the 17th getting off, thought we'd be sitting around the airport waiting for our 1:30pm flight, instead made the gate 2 minutes before it closed.
