Rare Liljo22 Posted April 30, 2016 #26 Share Posted April 30, 2016 Umm, depending on the dates this might work for us since DH wants to take the kids in 2017. I am curious if the SDP will be one of the perks, doesn't seem to indicate that. Doesn't look like it. the screenshot does not have the SDP in it and my email offer from NCL today says today is the last day to get free SDP. Irene7 Posted April 30, 2016 #28 Share Posted April 30, 2016 Glad I am not booking with that package. No clue what I would do with a $100 arcade credit cause I sure in the world wouldn't use it. LOL I used to feel that way too, until we were on a cruise that was raining the entire day at sea so we had some down time and the arcade ended up being a good idea. ireashmott Posted April 30, 2016 #29 Share Posted April 30, 2016 I am super excited about this. We have 3 kids, so this is what we've been waiting for. Already got my picks lined up! I am also curious about the sail free asterisk and the ambiguous offers for the suits and haven.
CruisinHarvey Posted April 30, 2016 #30 Share Posted April 30, 2016 It's exactly like stated. I got an email from my PCC that said the same as has been listed here. No need to wait and see.
rocklinmom Posted April 30, 2016 #31 Share Posted April 30, 2016 Purpletequila, thank you so much for posting this! I will be curious to see the full details when they post tomorrow. Hoping for the Friends and Family Sail Free for the cruise I've been watching for next summer. Otherwise I don't like the other new promos...useless for us. dexddd Posted April 30, 2016 #32 Share Posted April 30, 2016 Now, that's a pretty good "proof" as evidence of what's coming around the corner. Thanks !! Somehow, I seemed to have trouble visualizing grandma & grandpa, traveling without their grandkids, at the video arcade and finding something of interest to take "advantage" of that free $100 arcade credit. Transfer that to the casino as gaming credit or bingo credit, that's a different story and should be more popular. Just maybe, maybe, this could be saving money for parents who otherwise would be paying for all those arcade games for kids sailing along - especially during the summer months or during school breaks. And, how much is that photo package worth ?? In all fairness, it's probably comparable to the good old $25 OBC typically given by NCL for booking an "Inside" & some will see it as getting more values. :D Maybe grandma and grandpa would like to ride the motorcycle racing game. spanishguy1970 Posted April 30, 2016 #33 Share Posted April 30, 2016 (edited) Pretty sure this is it. All rooms get a photo package, $100 arcade credit and friends/families sail free. OV, balconies and MS get a pick one from UBP, shore excursions or wi-fi. Suites and haven get 4 offers which isn't very clear but that's what the ad shows. In effect through 5/22 Oh boy if this is going to be it then is absolute RUBBISH. Bring back " free prepaid gratuities":rolleyes: Edited April 30, 2016 by qtaromar1970
cherylroslyn Posted April 30, 2016 #34 Share Posted April 30, 2016 They can try all they want, its a rigged game. So are the claw games in the arcade. They only let someone win once it takes in a certain amount of money (as much as $9999). They can also reset that clock at any point so it would never pay out. If you see something missing from the case someone didn't necessarily win it. The person with the keys can take items out to make it look like someone won I watched a guy win three things on one cruise!!!!!

I was as surprised as you probably are but he did it with 1 shot 20 minutes after the Casino opened after departing NYC.
Maraprince Posted April 30, 2016 #36 Share Posted April 30, 2016 As long as they offer free 3rd and 4th person, the rest of the drink/dining options aren't of interest to us. MARAPRINCE
Rare mking8288 Posted April 30, 2016 #37 Share Posted April 30, 2016 (edited) Maybe grandma and grandpa would like to ride the motorcycle racing game. Now, that's an idea. Real bumper car on the racetrack thing would be a lot more appealing, IMO, if and when it's launched & the promotion survived :D We don't mind doing a bit of bartering privately with others on the same sailing  as long as it's capped at the limit and don't go over, ending up with a charge on the account. Now, would this be a problem with long lines for getting into the arcade on sea days ;) It does sound like a potential win-win for parents sailing with kids :p The overpriced internet minutes are more "useful" to us, although once we are in ports - we will have inexpensive cellular coverage from either T-Mo or Fi Network. Loonbeam Posted May 1, 2016 #40 Share Posted May 1, 2016 My wife won once as well, so it is possible. This promo package is very obviously oriented to get families with kids/teens to book, which is perfectly fine. If you are not a family with Kids it won't be as much of a draw. The previous packages were more adult/couples oriented (because only 2 people got some of them, etc). Good for them for mixing it up a bit. One note - with the new promos I do NOT see the exclusion on SDP and UPD service charges for suites/haven.. So even if they were to have the same 4, plus the 2 new, be careful with considering a rebook to get the promotions, may end up costing more. (If you are cruising with kids, the friends and family free may more than make up for it) They can try all they want, its a rigged game. So are the claw games in the arcade.
