maureencruiser Posted May 10, 2016 Author #201 Share Posted May 10, 2016 When you walk in, to the right, is the bed. Apparently, PHK was busy making friends while I was out. Next to the bed, is the couch, which butts up to the ballcony door. Sitting on the couch, looking across, you see the desk, the TV and the minibar fridge. (And, sometimes, your second glass of Prosecco). Across from the bed is a large mirror and the closet.
maureencruiser Posted May 10, 2016 Author #202 Share Posted May 10, 2016 The minibar items are included in the Ultimate package, or they were when I had it in 2014, check your details. Well, I do declare! How did that cube of wine get in there? I better drink it before they think I brought it with me! ;) That big water in the front is the one I bought with my wine package, you can get them at any bar. Lots of drawer space in the closet. The safe is behind my funky bag. Typical closet space, plenty of hangers. Being Black, I get 2 robes and slippers. I haven't used them yet, maybe I'll model them later in the cruise. maureencruiser Posted May 10, 2016 Author #203 Share Posted May 10, 2016 And, now, everyone's favorite! The loo! Avert your gaze if you're dainty, that means you, Andrew, Tim and Mike. :p This is what the shower looks like when the doors are in the shower position, plenty of room. When you're not in the shower, the doors push in and these magnets hold the doors, so, they don't bang all night. If only they worked on your neighbors. Plenty of shelf space and yes, I do use deodorant, for you naysayers! Extra shelf space under the sink, if you need it. maureencruiser Posted May 10, 2016 Author #204 Share Posted May 10, 2016 Hmmm, my picture of the magnets did not post, here it is. I'm sorry for these mistakes, including when the pictures post small. To save time, I'm not previewing my posts before I submit them, like I usually do and mistakes are happening. :o Here's the bathroom, from the door, typical cruise bathroom. I'm sure Hari remembered me instantly the first morning as the lady who moves the towel down lower ( I hate reaching up to dry my hands and water landing on the TP below) and the lady who hangs her Sinus Rinse where the second glass is supposed to be. Hey, it's your room for the week, make it work for you. And, last, but not least, yes, that is an ashtray next to the TP. No, that does not mean you can smoke in there. Do not panic, do not scream, just relax and ignore it. You are now free to move around the cabin.

maureencruiser Posted May 10, 2016 Author #206 Share Posted May 10, 2016 Alright, I'm gonna go see if they have any cookies left. You probably won't hear from me again tonight unless something supercool or superhorrifying happens in the buffet. Tomorrow is St Maarten. Maureen out! :D:D
maureencruiser Posted May 10, 2016 Author #207 Share Posted May 10, 2016 I think that pizza alone is going to get me on MSC! Something SUPERCOOL happened, BOB showed up! Bob, I think you would really enjoy it. Like LMaxwell said, it's cruising like it used to be. No flowriders, rock climbing walls, carousels, ice skating rinks etc. Just cruising for the sake of cruising. I don't do any of those things anyway, so, why should I pay twice as much for them? :D:D

Get the ice water. Looks like she was making more than friends. Maureen, you may never look at PHK the same way. BTW her blank facial expression is priceless. Rare A&L_Ont Posted May 10, 2016 #214 Share Posted May 10, 2016 Looks like Andrew will never sail MSC. The pizza could almost win me over.. The ship also looks to be amazing in design and style. You do however raise a good point.

Homosassa Posted May 10, 2016 #217 Share Posted May 10, 2016 Jamie is a super nice dude and has a lot of energy. Only two rules at his trivia. 1. No more than 6 people per team 2. If you think you are right and he is wrong, wait until the end and he will tell you why you are wrong. :D:D LOL - I didn't usually have the problem of being wrong. And as for rule #2. he will sometimes back down. He asked a question where the answer was Richard Nixon. When it came time to give the answers, we were all calling out Tricky Dick and he was saying, "No, Richard Nixon." We educated him and he made a note on his answer sheet. I can't see well enough to do anything on my phone. :o What! Whoa girl! Get the ice water. Looks like she was making more than friends. Maureen, you may never look at PHK the same way. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. ;) Andrew, you know sometimes us girls need to concentrate to make things "happen". :D
maureencruiser Posted May 10, 2016 Author #220 Share Posted May 10, 2016 OK, where was I. Right, last night, I was heading out to see if I could find some of LMaxwell's cookies. Yay, Kitty was pleased. Bringing them back to my cabin reminded me, my steward removed my fruit plate! He must have said Miss is the God of Pizza and Wine, someone must have broken in here and put this fruit in her cabin. :p It's nice when your steward knows you better than you know yourself. :D I woke up around 6:30 and we were still at sea, at least it looks like it will be a nice day, I (shockingly) went back to bed. Around 8:30, my steward resorted to the third oldest trick in the book, having the Captain back the ship into St Maarten. My bed was shaking and vibrating so much, I thought I was reliving my 20's. :D There's goats in them thar mountains!
maureencruiser Posted May 10, 2016 Author #221 Share Posted May 10, 2016 The port area looks so peaceful before we Barbarians descend upon it. I discovered something new today- this ship serves breakfast! I ran into an English couple at the elevator. They said, you're not going ashore? I said, I'm going to breakfast, this is the earliest I've been up yet. They said, this is the latest we've slept in. I feel so ashamed, naaah, they're probably just jetlagged. :D I had read there was an omelet station out by the pool and it was true. The morning exercise class was sparse, but, enthusiastic. They were rocking out to Will.I.am and Britney. Look at my omelet, isn't it gorgeous? See the peppers, the tomatoes, the onions? maureencruiser Posted May 10, 2016 Author #222 Share Posted May 10, 2016  I had asked for ham and cheese. But, hey, I'm a go with the flow sort of girl. (Wine does flow, right?) :p So, I ate about half of it then I got a big mouthful of onions and threw in the towel. Breakfast, take 2. This is my favorite bartender, he calls himself Jackie Chan. He told me yesterday he could make me a Cappucino with a cat's face on it. Shhh, he didn't even charge me for it.
maureencruiser Posted May 10, 2016 Author #223 Share Posted May 10, 2016 Kitty thinks the resemblance is remarkable. While enjoying my croissants and Cappucino, I was watching the cereal station, a lot of people eat cereal on a cruise, who knew? The pizza station was doing a brisk business, as well. Why didn't I just go there? Hmm, they must get their Froot Loops from the same place they get their ham and cheese. Look at the port, now, the Barbarians have arrived. It took me a minute to realize all the balcony doors were open. They didn't warn us that they were going to be out on the balconies, I bet they got a few eyefuls. I walked to the end of the balconies to get this shot, I told you Deck 10 has long balconies.
maureencruiser Posted May 10, 2016 Author #224 Share Posted May 10, 2016 My plan for the day was going to be go to Orient Beach for a few hours, grab a Guavaberry Colada or two, then return. :) The more I thought about it, I know a small beach that is within walking distance of the ship, maybe I'll just go there. Skip the expense and hubbub of Orient. You know, dog sledding in Alaska isn't going to pay for itself. :D I was thinking at breakfast about how St Maarten got 2 different names. I bet some guy from Boston asked what's the name of this place and they said, St Martin. Aaah, he said, St Maarten.:eek: OK, Maureen out. Rob the Cruiser Posted May 10, 2016 #225 Share Posted May 10, 2016 Thanks for the funny and informative updates but you're making my life miserable. I thought I had 2017 all planned. Now I may cancel our Celebrity transatlantic B2B Med and find a couple of MSC itineraries. :D
