sotiris Posted May 8, 2016 #1 Share Posted May 8, 2016 In looking at the diagram of the Neptune suites, it's looks like the table on the balcony may be oval. I am thinking about taking a tablecloth and want to have the right shape. Can anyone clarify this for me? TIA

I am thinking about taking a tablecloth and want to have the right shape. Can anyone clarify this for me? TIA Table is round, 28" diameter but some Vista-class ships have 36" diameter in aft wrap staterooms. Our 70-inch tablecloth works fine for both. I am thinking about taking a tablecloth and want to have the right shape. Can anyone clarify this for me? TIA Our Neptunes have had round tables w/4 chairs. The Pinnacle Suite may have a 6 person oval on the veranda. Be aware that tablecloths make great sails. Using a tablecloth when rolling along at 22 kts is an adventure without adding the speed potentially added by wind.
sotiris Posted May 8, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted May 8, 2016 Thanks Crews News and blizzard boy. Just planning to use the tablecloth when eating so hopefully the dishes will hold it down.
RocketMan275 Posted May 8, 2016 #5 Share Posted May 8, 2016 We thought of taking a table cloth and decided it wasn't worth the effort. BTW, you can get clips at your local party supply store to hold the cloth in place.

Krazy Kruizers Posted May 8, 2016 #7 Share Posted May 8, 2016 On all HAL ships, Neptune verandahs have round tables. Sometimes we have had 4 chairs, sometimes 3 chairs and one ship we had only 2 chairs.

Be aware that tablecloths make great sails. Using a tablecloth when rolling along at 22 kts is an adventure without adding the speed potentially added by wind. Only on the Vista and Signature ships do the Pinnacle suites have an oval table. Three people can sit on the padded bench -- very crowded -- elbow to elbow. None of the Pinnacle Suites we have been in have had 3 chairs that could be used at the table -- 2 at the most. Two were too low for the table to eat comfortably. I understand that the Koningsdam will just have a regular round table with 4 chairs.
LUPY48 Posted May 9, 2016 #9 Share Posted May 9, 2016 On the Zuiderdam, our Neptune had a round table. We brought a 70 inch round tablecloth. It was perfect. I also brought some battery operated LED candles.
sotiris Posted May 9, 2016 Author #10 Share Posted May 9, 2016 Thanks to everyone for the information. The tablecloth is packed. We will be on the Oosterdam in a few days and are looking forward to our first Neptune suite. From what I have read, it may be very difficult to go back once you have been in a suite. seagarsmoker Posted May 9, 2016 #11 Share Posted May 9, 2016 (edited) I just looked at our photos from last cruise on Eurodam, and our table was round, standard height and has 4 chairs. Edited May 9, 2016 by seagarsmoker
