Hampton Inn vs Holiday Inn Miami

Which would you choose pre-cruise, Hampton Inn Brickell Downtown or Holiday Inn Port of Miami?

Hampton Inn has free breakfast but Holiday Inn is right across the street from Bayside Marketplace. Right now HI has no vacancy for August 19th, a little surprised but I will keep checking for availability.

Holiday Inn was reportedly sold and may be undergoing renovations/updates.

Hampton Inn is a better hotel in a better location - lots of local Miami dining options in the Mary Brickell area. Bayside is full of chain dining options. Your call.

and loved it! Easy to reach from MIA airport, easy to get the MIA mover and trolley (we rode right past the Holiday Inn Bayside - I wasn't impressed). The Hampton Inn/Brickell had a beautiful pool, lovely public areas, great breakfast, the room was very nice...easy access to the trolley for our free ride to the Port.

We've stayed at both and preferred the Hampton Inn. One of the major reasons is the elevator situation. We found the elevators nearly impossible to catch departure morning at the Holiday Inn. While the Hampton Inn was busy, it wasn't a miracle to get on an elevator. :D

The only things we missed about the Holiday Inn were the view and the quicker ride to the port, but neither of those are a big deal. We're staying at the Hampton Inn again next year for our cruise.
