Brilliance of the seas room question

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I booked 12 night med cruise for hubby, 16 year old & myself in August.

I booked guaranteed balcony & have just received email telling me we're in room 7084.

From what I can gather we will be above the casino & could be a tad noisy:rolleyes: we are mid ship.

Anyone any idea about the ships balconies? Just wondering if we'll be directly above life boats?

I did see a picture of a few balcony cabins which seemed quiet a way set in from the side of boat & wondered if mine could be one of those.

I'm just happy to have a balcony, but curious as to what to expect.

Thanks

Hi BettyBoo,

Looking at the deck plans for Brilliance of the Seas you are overlooking the lifeboat cover so you won't be able to look straight down to the sea however you will still be able to look straight out. If you can change to another cabin of the same category try to get 7022-46 or 7524-46, they have an extra large balcony but do not overlook the lifeboat covers

I hope that this helps.

Gail

Don't think I can change cabin as I only booked guaranteed

Guess I'm stuck with what I'm given :

I'm ok with not being able to look down, think it will help me actually :) as I don't particularly like the look of the ocean

I would have been happy in an inside cabin so I don't have to see the sea:eek:

Hubby wanted a balcony, no me:confused:

Perhaps bookings in the UK may be different so I would check with whomever you booked with, but in the US guarantee stateroom assignments can be changed to other locations within the same category as available.

We will be above the casino as well, and I dont think it will be as bad as some areas,

Our cabin has a pull down bunk over the two singles, so might see if we can get one with sofa bed instead. As either me or my daughter doesn't fancy being woken up by granddaughter falling out of it lol

We have sofa bed, guess hubby & son will be in bed as they are 6ft 2 each & I'm 5ft 2 so guess I'll be on sofa bed:rolleyes:

Just looked at the cabin on the deck plans, and it has a pullman, not a sofa bed.

what weeks are you going? we're on the 30th August sailing.

Oh no  is a pullman a pull down bed?

We are on 18th August sailing so just before you :)

While North Americans, or those booking with a North American travel agent, can switch cabins within category after a guarantee assignment, other cruisers are not allowed to do this.

You are "stuck" with your assignment.

Can you get a sofa bed on brilliance in an E1 cabin?

My son is 6ft 2, will he even fit in a pullman bed:eek:

Yes there are lots that have a sofa bed. Look on the deckplans for the triangles as they have a sofa bed. The solid triangles have a sofa bed and a Pullman.

As someone mentioned earlier as you are in the UK it is doubtful that you can change your room assignment without laying the full price (not the guarantee rate)

Not sure if the link will work for you being from the UK.

Thanks for your help, the link worked too:)

I can only ask Royal Caribbean when I pay my balance next week.

Cool. Hope you have a great time! I'm going with my daughter and 16 year old grand daughter..

We've booked trip to the Vatican and deciding whether to go to Ephesus at the mo.

Have you joined the meet and greet group for your weeks? They do a thing on board after so many join. Should be fun!
