What time do you arrive at FLL? The later in the day the fewer shuttles willing to make the Miami run and the higher the prices go.

Taxi from FLL to downtown Miami hotels will run about $75-80 on the meter; Uber or Lyft will be under $50 (probably closer to $40) unless surge pricing is in effect.

Private car/limo service starts at about the same as taxi service - not bad if there are 3-4 travelling together.

Of course your other option is to stay near FLL and then catch a $15 shuttle to POM the next day. The drive from FLL to POM takes about 45-60+ minutes.

We usually like to rent a car. For our December cruise we fly into MIA & cruise out of Port Everglades. Looking for a hotel room now. We'll pick up the car @ MIA and drop it @ Port Everglades. We've previously done the same in reverse. This allows us a little beach & down time the day b/4 the cruise - especially since we generally fly red-eye from Anchorage.
