Yes, it is a shocker, a big gust of wind threw the front to close to the dock and there was no room to correct the steering. The only way to correct it was to swing the rear but there was another ship there so they opted for smashing into the dock instead. A very expensive mistake.

So hard to predict those big gusts of wind too. I'm looking out the window at the moment and most of the time the wind is just moving the trees around a bit then, wham, a gust comes through and it just goes wild for a few seconds. It even wakes the cat up. :eek:

I dont think the ships cat would have stirred on the infinity,over this mild scrape.

Gusting is very hard to predict, they much prefer a constant force.

Never mind about your cat, it can have a cat nap later.:p

OOPS.....this ship has had some bad luck. We were on the Infinity in the Falkland Islands a few years ago and one of the Davits was damaged preventing a lifeboat from being returned to the ship....result......the lifeboat had to stay in the Port Stanley a year until the Infinity returned all mended!!!
