Winter cruise question

Recommended Posts

I plan on booking a cruise in late january or mid february (Navigator of the Seas). Its for a bachelor party with 5-10 guys and i was wondering how the crowds will be as i have never saied in the winter time. I was hoping there would be at least some 20-30yr old groups other than us. Can anyone with winter cruise experience shes some light on the crowd? Thanks!

My take - at that time of year the younger end of your proposed age group will probably be in college classes and not so much on a cruise ship.

We were on Oasis the last week of January this year. I would guess 25% of the cruisers were 65 and above, 15% were kids under 16, and that leaves several thousand in the 30-50 age group. Most of the bars and hot tubs were going strong at 2:am.. There was one night we were on the rising tide bar and it was full at 3:am.. party on..

Ships sail full all the time. Maybe less kids...maybe not. The majority of cruisers are those who can afford it..I would go to Vegas for a bachelor party...a cruise ship is NOT the "party zone" you are imagining it to be.

Haha yeah i went to vegas last year for an earlier bach party. This is my second, more low key bachelor party and was just trying to get some insight of the crowd. Thank you!

How long are the cruises you're looking at? Are any of them on weekends? Those items make some difference.

Regardless, you should be able to find some people in your age group on any cruise you take.
