JohninDC Posted July 15, 2016 #3 Share Posted July 15, 2016 Rent a car in Miami (national, Alamo & Thrifty offer free shuttle to their MIA airport location - Avis and others in downtown are just a $12 cab ride away, but sometimes get overwhelmed with cruisers :(), put your bags in the trunk, and then go where you want for the day. Drop the car at FLL and fly home.
capriccio Posted July 15, 2016 #4 Share Posted July 15, 2016 For info on what to do once you get to Fort Lauderdale, check out http://www.sunny.org. eandj Posted July 15, 2016 #5 Share Posted July 15, 2016 If you aren't into driving yourself, then just do what Blue Herons suggests and get to Fort Lauderdale and consider the list that Cappricio offered. If you don't mind driving, then I'd for sure rent the car, and you can stop in Hollywood Beach on the way up to Fort Lauderdale. Or hit Miami Beach, South beach before heading north. You have a long day to check everything out. Easy to do on your own.
