Thatname Posted July 16, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 16, 2016 Hi We're going to be going on our 1st cruise onboard the Marina soon (veranda cabin) and I'm wondering about what space there is for storing suitcases in the cabin? Thanks
bitob Posted July 16, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 16, 2016 They go under the bed. If they don't fit your cabin steward will store them
Pet Nit Noy Posted July 16, 2016 #3 Share Posted July 16, 2016 (edited) HiWe're going to be going on our 1st cruise onboard the Marina soon (veranda cabin) and I'm wondering about what space there is for storing suitcases in the cabin? Thanks My husband and I travel with a medium spinner. This size suitcase fits under the beds on both the R ships (Nautica, Insignia, etc) and the O ships (Marina, Riviera). The manufacturer has posted the dimensions which include the wheels and the handle, which protrudes slightly even in its collapsed position. I've posted those dimensions below to help you compare a suitcase known to fit with the luggage you plan on using. Height Width Depth Weight US 25 in. 18 in. 10.5 in. 10.2 lbs EU 63.5 cm 45.5 cm 26.5 cm 4.6 kg Edited July 16, 2016 by Pet Nit Noy
sitraveler Posted July 16, 2016 #4 Share Posted July 16, 2016 Secret learned recently: under the bed, but open.
Queen of DaNile Posted July 16, 2016 #5 Share Posted July 16, 2016 Secret learned recently: under the bed, but open. Brilliant. And that would help with extra storage for the long trip we're doing next year ;) Thanks for the tip!
Thatname Posted July 16, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted July 16, 2016 Under the bed but open is really clever. Thanks everyone for taking the time to reply. Now to start the packing!
cbb Posted July 16, 2016 #7 Share Posted July 16, 2016 for ATW we packed a couple of duffel bags (no wheels and they rolled up nicely) and we used those as storage under the bed as well as the open suitcases. (room steward stored the others) It makes a great safe place to stash the souvenirs and then when you're ready to get off, it is packed and ready to go on top of a wheeled suitcase. It is also a handy place to store anything and it can fit under the bed up by the bedside table where it won't get accidentally kicked.
Rare LHT28 Posted July 16, 2016 #8 Share Posted July 16, 2016 our 2 -26" spinners fit under the bed closed without a problem Lift the bed frame slightly if they do not slide under easily I do not want the dust bunnies getting inside ;)
sitraveler Posted July 16, 2016 #9 Share Posted July 16, 2016 Unless your dust bunnies have rabbit's feet, you cannot have dust bunnies.
