La_Souris Posted July 18, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 18, 2016 Good morning, Quick question: I bought Cruise Cash Bar cards. How do they work? Are the funds added "on board credit" and I can use it for anything... or is it restricted to be used for alcohol only? Thanks in advance!

soccersharon Posted July 19, 2016 #3 Share Posted July 19, 2016 From the Carnival website: Cruise Cash Bar From $25.00 Cruise Cash Bar provides an immediate credit to a guest's Sail & Sign account which can be applied toward any bar purchases. This credit is good for any bar charge made to their account including alcoholic drinks, juice, soda, water, and coffee shop charges. Cruise Cash Bar is valid for a single voyage and cannot be transferred to future bookings. Cruise Cash Bar is non-refundable and any unused credits will be forfeited. *Cruise Cash Bar purchases limited to $500 per cabin. FTLCruiseGal Posted July 19, 2016 #7 Share Posted July 19, 2016 Also, to clarify as some get confused, if you purchase the Cruise Cash and you cancel your cruise, you will get the money back. It is non refundable if you go on the cruise and do not use all of it. I purchased the Cruise Cash (not specific to bar, casino, or photos), and loved it. I put a little bit aside each paycheck and purchased it, and it was on my sign & sail account as soon as I got on the ship!
cb at sea Posted July 19, 2016 #8 Share Posted July 19, 2016 Better to purchase funds that can be used for ANYTHING...don't restrict yourself to alcohol!
dacsmom Posted July 20, 2016 #9 Share Posted July 20, 2016 (edited) So it works for alcohol only. Good to know. Thanks! No, it is not restricted to alcohol, it includes alcoholic drinks, juice, soda, water, and coffee shop charges. Basically anything you want to drink on a ship. n6uqqq Posted July 20, 2016 #10 Share Posted July 20, 2016 If one buys $100 and gets back $100 dollars, what has one actually purchased? Sounds like a loan to me :D!
GUT2407 Posted July 20, 2016 #11 Share Posted July 20, 2016 Why not just buy OBC.
La_Souris Posted July 20, 2016 Author #12 Share Posted July 20, 2016 Why not just buy OBC. I like the specification. But since I tend to get sea sick and need medication to control it, it's nice to know I won't lose my money if I can't drink alcohol.
