Miami - 1pm flight and clearing Customs - Key West ?

Planning four a four night Bahamas cruise, which returns to Miami with the final port being Key West which raises two questions for me.

 

Will we do any Customs clearance in Key West (first US port on return) ?

 

We arrive back at 0700, will a 1pm flight be doable ?

 

Appreciate any advice, particularly from anyone who may have done the same Royal Four Day Bahamas cruise on the Enchantment ?

You will have no problem making a 1pm flight.

You will do immigration/customs at Key West but turn in your customs card after you get off the ship in Miami.

 

Regardless, a 1:00 PM flight is perfectly fine.

POM to the MIA airport is an easy 15 minute, $27+tip (flat rate fare - ignore the meter) taxi ride. Sleep in a little, enjoy one last breakfast in the MDR, and be among the last to leave the ship about 9-9:30.

Customs at POM is usually pretty fast. You can easily get to the airport by 10-10:30
