jascal Posted August 16, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 16, 2016 We are looking at a cruise with some friends who plan to get a Royal Suite and we will be concierge. I understand suite guests have a separate dining room. Is anyone aware if there is any way we would be able to dine with them in this dining room even if it meant we paid an additional amount ( similar to speciality restaurants) ? Karynanne Posted August 16, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 16, 2016 The fee for dining in Luminae is $50 per person and it is charged to the Suite passenger's account. I'm not sure if you would be allowed to dine there daily. Maybe someone else can verify this.

Is anyone aware if there is any way we would be able to dine with them in this dining room even if it meant we paid an additional amount ( similar to speciality restaurants) ? Can Suite Class guests bring traveling companions in a non-suite stateroom to the Suite Class exclusive restaurant so then can dine together? Yes, based on availability, Suite Class guests can invite non-suite guests to dine with them in Luminae with reservation and for a fee. The fee per non-suite guest will be $10 for breakfast, $20 for lunch, $30 for dinner. These fees are waived for invited non-suite guests 12 years of age and under. Suite Class guests can also request to dine together with their non-suite guests in the Main restaurant at no additional charge by visiting with the Maitre d’ on embarkation day. cb at sea Posted August 16, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 16, 2016 Perhaps your friends would dine with YOU, instead of you with them???

Sandtrap328 Posted August 16, 2016 #6 Share Posted August 16, 2016 Yes OP your friends can ask anyone to join them for in suire dining. No extra fee, but be sure to tip Butler for extra work. Meal served would be from Main Dining room, not Luminae.

emelle Posted August 16, 2016 #8 Share Posted August 16, 2016 (edited) We traveled the western med in a Royal suite and two couples who are friends were in the next two concierge level cabins. It was fun to open the balcony up and we shared cocktails and nibbles on the big veranda and in the suite each evening before dinner. They each bought a specialty dining package onboard--then because we had unlimited specialty dining, we all were able to eat together at the specialty restaurants--less expensive than the charge for them to join us in Luminae at that time and more variety. Some nights they would dine in MDR and we would go to Luminae. Worked out well for us. Edited August 16, 2016 by emelle
wrk2cruise Posted August 16, 2016 #9 Share Posted August 16, 2016 They can make arrangements on a daily basis to dine with you in MDR. It doesn't have to be for the duration of the cruise.
Sandtrap328 Posted August 19, 2016 #10 Share Posted August 19, 2016 The OP would like their friends to dine with them in Luminae. Yes - but mine was just another option for them to consider. Remember - this is a forum to be helpful and not critical.
Karynanne Posted August 19, 2016 #11 Share Posted August 19, 2016 My post wasn't meant to be critical, just informative. Your suggestion was a good one.
