celebrity Posted August 27, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 27, 2016 We are reserved for our upcoming cruise and I'm wondering if I can substitute items on the menu? Ex: If I would prefer a baked potato rather than roasted, can that be done?

Ex: If I would prefer a baked potato rather than roasted, can that be done? We have found them to be very accommodating. If what you would like us on the menu but accompanies another dish there should be no problems. I have had them make the scallop appetizer into an entre for me Edited August 27, 2016 by Ourusualbeach

dedosr Posted August 27, 2016 #5 Share Posted August 27, 2016 (edited) GIOVANNI'S was fabulous. I am so disappointed that it has been replaced by JAIMIE'S on other ships. Food is very subjective, but Jaimie's Italian doesn't come close to Giovanni's in my opinion. We first tried Giovanni's for lunch and then went back for dinner, and it was even better. Went we went to Jaimie's for lunch, we were all disappointed with our meal, and never returned. Enjoy your meal there. OCruisers Posted August 27, 2016 #6 Share Posted August 27, 2016 Giovanni's is also our favorite! They'll certainly do their best to get you exactly what you want. :)
rkkunk Posted August 28, 2016 #7 Share Posted August 28, 2016 Giovanni's is our favorite, too! We are also disappointed with the replacement of Jamie's. But I can see how they would want to change things up on a new ship. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app

Ex: If I would prefer a baked potato rather than roasted, can that be done? You can ask. They will try to accommodate your request. I find they use too much salt. I tell them to use no salt when preparing my food.

Merion_Mom Posted August 28, 2016 #10 Share Posted August 28, 2016 And I thought that Portofino was better than Giovanni's Table. Time marches on. Adapt or die. :)

This is sad to read, as we love Giovanni's. :( We were looking forward to Jaimie's. I guess it is better to know, this way our expectations will not be disappointed by a comparison to Giovanni's.
