6rugrats Posted September 5, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 5, 2016 Why would prices be lower when the cruises are so far into the future? There's lots of time to fill up the ships. No one can tell you when you will get the "best deal".
leaveitallbehind Posted September 5, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 5, 2016 (edited) Relative to RCI and Celebrity as examples (as would be the case for most lines), there is no predicting pricing trends as pricing for any given ship and itinerary is based on supply and demand. Booking on board will only provide pricing based on the prevailing rates and / or promotions in effect at the time to everyone. Typically there will be a reduction in deposit amount required and some form of OBC as the on-board booking incentive. But there will not be any different rate discount offered. CruiserBruce Posted September 5, 2016 #4 Share Posted September 5, 2016 (edited) Two cruises we have booked currently have both gone up in price, one a pretty large sum- think almost doubling. All due to supply and demand. Glad we booked early. There is no way to tell when prices will be a "good deal"- as that is a subjective judgement on your part.
