LuCruise Posted March 9, 2017 #1402 Share Posted March 9, 2017 I ended up booking Symphony last night. Waiting to see Harmony prices ,which should be al little lower , but prices only go up so at least we have something. What amazed me is that on day 1 of when it went on sale, all interior rooms with the virtual balcony were sold out and we got the second last promenade room (for 4 people). We are booking for March break so probably not like that for all Symphony cruises, but still...Wow. We'll see Harmony... If lower we'll switch. Jax129 Posted March 9, 2017 #1411 Share Posted March 9, 2017 I'm disappointed Symphony is going to be doing the Med. I really want to do a Western Med cruise in 2018 but with 6 port days who would have time to explore the ship. I was also disappointed the got rid of Villenfranche, one of the stops I was most looking forward to. Now I get to wait a whole year to see what they do in 2019!! Sent from my iPhone using Forums I think RCI should've replaced "Phase I" with "Symphony OTS" in the deployment release flyer week of March 6th. At least we wouldn't be sitting around waiting for other ships and sailing dates in the Europe & Caribbean regions to open up. atgood

I wonder how many bookings they've lost due to people wanting to book earlier. I know I've looked at other lines. Heck, I've even booked on another line. I believe RCCL is the last major cruise line to open up late 2018 and 2019.

Goodtime Cruizin Posted March 9, 2017 #1424 Share Posted March 9, 2017 I just don't get the method to this madness... Making us wait like this. Not exciting to me but frustrating. Sent from my iPhone using Forums Yes, it is frustrating. but RCCL has staggered their releases for quite a awhile since the expansion of the fleet. The difference this year is that some were confused with the "Phase 1's or Europe & the Caribbean", which was nothing but the Symphony hype & release. Per the revenue dept. here is the schedule I posted this past Monday..... Alaska, Caribbean, week of 3/13 Europe, week of 3/20 Australia: week of 3/

Thanks for those information! I hope Cruisecal will post up the other itineraries and ships, including Europe, soon. Interesting to see Freedom is obviously moving to San Juan to replace Adventure. May Adventure swith to Ft. Lauderdale? Or she moves to Europe, whereas Jewel sails Alaska in summer 2018? There have been rumors about that...
