Many bad Jewel reviews lately?

For those on Jewel now or were in the last months. How is internet?

I consider the surf & stream package as it is only $ 10 a day.

How would it be on a transatlantic voyage? I would be using it for social media and what's app to post photos or small videos.

And does it work in your cabin or only in public spaces?

Wifi works in your cabin. On both the Jewel TA in April and Brilliance TA in October Surf and Stream wifi worked for posting FB pics but wouldn't upload short videos. As we cross the mid-Atlantic wifi was spotty at times but overall worked well.

I wanted to buy the package but unfortunately they just rised the price from $ 8.99 to $ 11.99 for one device. Not happy so will not purchase the package. We never use internet on the ships so we will survive this time.

We were on Jewel in May and there were no wine packages offered. Just off Brilliance. No wine packages any more. The picture below shows wines that were offered in the MDR at 20% off. Focus seems to be on drink pkgs.

Thanks for the info. I went into ROYAL GIFTS this morning to order the wine for our cabin. NASTY SURPRISE. Prices have increased nearly 40% per bottle since last week. Also a less favourable rate of exchange when buying in CAD$ I wonder if the prices have also increased on board the ship?.

It would be great if someone on board the JEWEL now could post the current wine list.
