Everything you can put on your sea card or your account. Plus you can take out promotional chips in the casino. When you win, you receive chips you can cash in not more promo chips.

 

I recently converted $200 promo chips into $160 cash playing roulette with OBN.

You can use the OBC for everything on board except as a deposit on a future cruise booking. Some items,

purchase or upgrade beverage package

spa

photos

gratuities or extra gratuities

specialty restaurants

shops

alcohol if you don't have a beverage package

excursions

Celebrity transportation to airport

 

Any OBC that is non refundable, OBN code, will be lost if not spent. Refundable, OBR, will post as a credit on your credit card. They use the OBN 1st.

 

If you purchase items before you cruise, such as bev pkgs or excursions, the cost will be charged to your credit card.

Not a full list, but some things we've used OBC for: spa treatments, specialty dining (including extra tips), excursions, photos, shopping (sweatshirt, t-shirt, etc). If we really have our hearts set on a particular excursion or dining time/day we pre-book and pay. We definitely don't have trouble spending non-refundable OBC! If we have a portion that is refundable we won't force ourselves to spend it and will take a credit to our credit card. I'm sure others will have more ideas.

Do a search of Cruise Critic for "a list of things to spend OBC on" and you'll find a thread I started not long ago. Can't cut and paste on my tablet or I would send you right to it but it's easy to find.

I used the last few dollars of OBN on a cute pink baseball hat and some make-up. I would've had to buy the make-up at home, so I just bought it onboard. ;)
