cruisegal415 Posted September 20, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 20, 2016 Looking at deck plans for the Riviera, deck 8 specifically, some rooms have a star on them. The legend says "Special Features." Anyone know what those special features are? We stayed in a room with a star on our last cruise, which was our first on Oceania, so have nothing to compare it to. Are looking to book another one, and the room we were offered doesn't have a star. Thanks.

When looking at the Deck Plans on the Oceania Site, hover your cursor over the cabin in question, and the "special features", whatever they may be, will appear. As Bitob mentioned, a Star is the notation for "triple stateroom" which means that there is a sofabed in the room, rather than a sofa. If you were looking at a paper Deck Plan, there would have been a legend key on the left side of that page which shows the Pool Deck.
cruisegal415 Posted September 22, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted September 22, 2016 Thanks, all! Never noticed that trick! I assume, then, the only difference being a sofa bed versus a regular sofa, the comfort of the sofa if we don't need a triple. Good to know!
