jlas000 Posted September 28, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 28, 2016 We booked a deluxe balcony stateroom with the Nextcruise office this past August. We took the onboard credit for the current sailing and obviously used it. Now, the Superior balcony cabins are a few dollars cheaper. We would like to upgrade to this cabin (still well outside last payment), but I am wondering if this is allowed or if we would lose our deposit? Any insight is appreciated before I call to attempt to make the change. Thanks!
champagne123 Posted September 28, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 28, 2016 Just in case you see your question go "poof", is because we are not allowed to write about cruise websites. :)
39august Posted September 28, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 28, 2016 You won't loose your deposit. Sure you can upgrade and give them more money!

I'd actually be giving them less money, as the next balcony cabin up is a bit cheaper.

champagne123 Posted September 28, 2016 #7 Share Posted September 28, 2016 Not sure what cruise website I wrote about, booked onboard with the NextCruise office. Sorry! I thought that was a third party website. (there are sooo many and I misread). :o:o:o
MikeBTN Posted September 28, 2016 #8 Share Posted September 28, 2016 You should be able to do that as long as the pricing is not due to a "new bookings only" sale. In that case you still can, its just more complicated - you would need to transfer your booking to another cruise, then call back and transfer it back to the original sailing. Since you're transferring to a higher category there should be no penalty.

That usually doesn't happen :-) I'm a glutton for punishment, I probably would have priced out a JS too, lol.
