What is a good Excursion in St Maarten

My friend and I are looking for a good but affordable excursion in st Maarten this February anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

The wives shopped while the husbands took a taxi out to Maho Beach to watch the planes land. Afterwards, we spent some time on the beach near the dock and enjoyed a swim in the warm water.

Captain Bob's Tours - a full day (5-6 hours), snorkeling, lunch, swimming, souvenir shopping, watching airplanes coming into land right over your head, great crew and bottomless ice chest of beer!!! Approx $100. Great value for money!!! You can find his info on TripAdvisor.

The cruise lines offer excursions to both locations, you can book online with a high rated tour company as well go to tripadvisor to see reviews. Enjoy

I enjoyed the Butterfly Farm Tour and the visit to the French side of the island.

 

Make sure you stop and buy a few 6.6-pound wheels of Gouda Cheese for $29 behind the Tourist Booth just off the pier.

If you have ever been on sailboats or wish you had, the America's Cup Race is great fun. The excursion is often offered through the cruiselines but you can check out their website: https://www.12metre.com/.

I agree it is a blast...for me it was the most expensive excursion ever because a few months later I bought a sailboat!:eek:

We always rent a car (Coastal Car Rental) and drive around the island at our leisure. We enjoy spending time on the French side. There are great mom and pop seafood restaurants in Gran Case and the beaches around the French side are less populated that on the Dutch side.
