We tried once and had to stop several times.

Don't remember the price.

 

 

Now we only use a car service.

You can walk up Pioneer to Van Brunt ... Along Van Brunt to Union .... Up Union to Smith .... Along Smith to Caroll .... Down into subway ... Take F train to Roosevelt Ave Jackson Hts .... Up to Q70 bus to LGA ... Cost is $2.75.

Paul, that might normally be OK for us, but for a longer cruise, not sure we could handle to the luggage. Any other thoughts?

We actually did this to JFK on Sept 22 inbound on Caribbean Princess from Southampton UK. (Chage to E train at Queen's Plaza .... Change to JFK Airtrain in Jamaica). Perhaps you need to take a taxi all or part of the way, or book Princess LGA transfers. It depends on what you want to spend and when you need to be at LGA. Although we are both 73, we were born in Bklyn,/Queens and know our way around. We also like an adventure. Best wishes on your choices.

One more thing ... The walk on Union goes past beautifully restored brownstones ... Some selling for $3 million!

Super Shuttle does not show a shared ride option from Brooklyn Cruise Terminal, but they do have a private car service for $67 plus tip. Or you can reserve a whole van for about $136 and share it with some fellow passengers (up to 10).

 

We did this trip last October using Uber. As I recall it was about $45. And we had a great driver and tipped him extra. And while the subway option works....we also had too much luggage from being onboard for 25 days, four suitcases!

If I recall, taxis are a fixed price from Manhattan to either JFK or LaGuradia...vice versa.

2 of us took a cab from Red Hook terminal to LGA and it was $35 on the meter. Two months ago. We thought it would be more. Tipped the driver and still saved plenty ( $28) on the Princess shuttle cost. And waaaaay quicker.
