Merion_Mom Posted November 26, 2016 #26 Share Posted November 26, 2016 We've managed to pulverize Pringles! LOL! Not sure what we're doing wrong but crumbs it is. :D You are ineffably talented, Karen! ;) :D
MikeNJ1109 Posted November 26, 2016 #27 Share Posted November 26, 2016 Does that mean one of our bottles of wine can be port? I would LOVE that. I am on RCI for the first time and usually order bottle service from HAL and cannot do that on RCI, but would love to bring port, as an alternative. Strictly speaking, Port is Fortified Wine. It's my understanding that you are allowed to bring one or two bottles of wine on board, with *possibly* a corkage fee depending on where the bottle is open. JMHO, you're good to go with the Port. And btw, the WJ usually has a great blue cheese (sometimes Stilton) from England ... a good Port and Stilton before bed is better than sex -- at least, that's what I've heard. :) Michael

NJcruisenewbie Posted November 26, 2016 #30 Share Posted November 26, 2016 You can certainly find something to snack on but if you're like me and particular about what you eat you're better off bringing your own. My favorite is an assortment of flavored 100 calorie pack almonds.
capecruzer Posted November 27, 2016 #31 Share Posted November 27, 2016 No offense but I'm LOL here...so much food on a cruise ship and yet, no chips for a midnite snack? If I remember correctly, Carnival ships serve their room service BLT with chips all night long....nothing like this on RCCI?

RCI has a room service menu, absolutely - it's just that there is a service charge between 12 am and 5 am. As many people in this thread have mentioned, it's perfectly acceptable to bring your own desired snack. Yes, there is abundant food on a cruise ship but for certain people like diabetics, a couple of cookies or a slice of pizza is not always going to be the best choice. :)
dreadpirate3 Posted November 27, 2016 #33 Share Posted November 27, 2016 Tortilla chips through room service, as far as I can remember, no potato chips, nuts or jerky available. We'll be bringing almonds, cashews, dark chocolate and pretzels for our stateroom.
