bouhunter Posted December 5, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 5, 2016 Interesting scene on Indy Saturday morning after we arrived in FLL. There were two county cops and several RCCL staff standing outside a balcony cabin. They were there for 15-20 minutes with RCCL staff going in and out occasionally while the cops stayed in the hallway. Then all headed down the hallway toward another cabin, not off the ship. We lost track of them after that. Someone must have been in trouble.........:(
atnolan94 Posted December 5, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 5, 2016 Maybe they found drugs in the room or something. Doubt its anything too serious! But it is strange that the cops were in the hallway only.
Clarea Posted December 5, 2016 #3 Share Posted December 5, 2016 I've heard that can happen if someone has an outstanding warrant and is going to be taken into custody after the cruise.

Great thought actually. Its an easy way for authorities to corner somebody, their passport probably gets flagged when they go to board?
cruisegoal100 Posted December 5, 2016 #5 Share Posted December 5, 2016 We are on Independence doing the 2nd leg of a back to back. Saturday morning as passengers were disembarking we saw 3 Customs and Border Protection agents take a mid-thirties male off the ship in handcuffs. Then after disembarking (b2b passengers disembark last and reboard first) we were not allowed back ship for about 20 minutes because a last cruise passenger appeared to be hiding on the ship and was finally escorted off. By the way Independence crew and entertainment have been outstanding...they couldn't do more to please the passengers! Best of all prime rib is now back on Royal dinner menu after being removed for about a month! Thank you Royal Caribbean!
shellunderwater Posted December 5, 2016 #6 Share Posted December 5, 2016 (edited) On disembarkation for the Nov 24 Independence cruise, there were 4 CBP and 2 local sheriff deputies speaking to a gentleman at guest services for a while. Eventually law enforcement left and the passenger disembarked with everyone else. It wasn't marched off in hand cuffs but Prime Rib was on our menu, Serenade over Thanksgiving 11 day We did the Galley tour and champagne brunch and that is one of things they told us how they cooked Prime Rib from frozen and the different times and temps. Very interesting. I didn't have it but SO said it was best beef on the ship. Edited December 5, 2016 by troykahack
Snit13 Posted December 5, 2016 #9 Share Posted December 5, 2016 I've heard that can happen if someone has an outstanding warrant and is going to be taken into custody after the cruise. I actually know a woman that happened to. Bad part is her husband did not know there was a warrant for her arrest. Oops
Rare island lady Posted December 5, 2016 #10 Share Posted December 5, 2016 Then after disembarking (b2b passengers disembark last and reboard first) we were not allowed back ship for about 20 minutes because a last cruise passenger appeared to be hiding on the ship and was finally escorted off. That happened to us during our B2B Radiance last August. We were the only B2B passengers and had to wait in the dining room for them to catch the person that was still listed as on the ship...somewhere. Took over an hour to find him!!

hansolosmom Posted December 5, 2016 #13 Share Posted December 5, 2016 Is the Galley tour open to everyone or suite guests only? Joyce On Anthem it was open to everyone. They had a sign in the hall and a mention on the cruise compass. It was the last sea day - 11ish(?) I think it was $30 per person
