South beach overnight before cruise

Coming in a day early for the cruise. Would like to stay in south beach one night. How far is south beach from the airport and cruise port? Would like to get the most out of our Miami visit. Thanks

Heya! I stayed in a hotel called la flora which was one block back from the south beach seafront. Certainly would recommend it.

 

From south beach to the cruise port was about 10 minutes in a taxi. Not too bad at all. I flew out of Fort Lauderdale airport not Miami so I'm not sure about that part, sorry!

South Beach to MIami International Airport is about 10.5 miles. Should take about 20 minutes to get there.

I have a cruise out of POM in January, and am staying in South Beach at an Art Deco hotel on Collins Ave the night before. Looking forward to it! I only wish now that I booked for one night post cruise, also.

Traffic to/from the Beach has been awful lately. I work in Downtown Miami and it has taken me over 30 minutes to get to South Beach some days.

MIA to South Beach is only about 11 miles but traffic can be bad sometimes. I would say 20-40mins depending on time of day and traffic.

 

South Beach to the Port should be no more than 20mins, again depending on traffic.

Depending on the time of day, it can take another 30 minutes once rush hour traffic starts building. Especially with Venetian Causeway being closed yet again.
