Did you happen to get a pic of the menu for the sports bar? Someone mentioned that there is no longer a fee.

Someone recently has posted a picture of the Sports bar menu. I didn't do one in my review because I had seen it on here somewhere!

Thanks so much! Were the burgers the same ones they serve at the buffet? Did they offer hot wings or onion rings .Is the food cooked to order. I am full of questions sorry!

No worries, I asked a million questions too before I went. The burgers I think were better than the buffet (which is not to say the buffet ones were bad.) The did have onion rings and wings. Both were pretty good. I do believe they are made to order.

Im sorry. I did not use either. Perhaps someone else on here can help.

Laundry one package was 20 items for 30 dollars.

Wifi I had the streamer package for 9 days it was £35. Have a look at Random Photos to get an idea of what I was posting on board to give an idea of how much I was using it!

I had over a third left at end of trip.

You have to remember though to keep turning off the wifi at the end of each time you use it our it refreshes in the background and eats the data!

We did the 40 item (?) laundry package. Was very economical, IMO. The only issue we had is that they gave us someone else's clothes in with ours when they returned them. Not someone else's bag of laundry, someone else's stuff in with ours. So I'd strongly suggest taking pictures of what you sent out to be cleaned and how many because you may not get it all back. We have no idea whose shorts we got, but we returned them to our Steward, so hopefully the original owner got their clothing. You're supposed to have some brown paper bags in your closet with the order form (we did not have either of those things).

Internet, we got the Streamer package. VERY impressed, I might say. 4 devices, the wi-fi speeds were pretty darn good considering it has to use satellite to communicate off the ship. I did not stream any netflix to be honest, but it was really good for facebook and uploading photos and whatnot. Even made a few WiFi calls with T-Mobile.

Just be aware:

Even though every cruise card has an internet ID to use, if you buy the Streamer Package (good for up to 4 devices), only ONE person can sign into it initially when you create the account. We stupidly thought that we could use both our unique internet ID, but all that ended up was charging us for 2 packages, not one. So basically you decide which one of you is going to create the account, and then share the userid/password with each other since you can have up to 4 devices.

I think the pricing of the plan is extremely reasonable especially given the speed. Carnival, for example, wants $25 PER DAY PER DEVICE and doesn't even support Wifi calling and filters any websites they deem "naughty". We had the package for a 10-night cruise and it was like $110 I believe. So you can see a cost savings compared to Carnival anyway.

We hogged the data package and still didn't use it all up (close, maybe 300 mb left, although part of that was because I was trying to install stupid messenger and it was a few hundred MB). Oh, and don't use a Windows 10 PC/notebook either. You can't turn off the auto-updates (thank you MS) so it'll happily chew through your bandwidth downloading updates (it doesn't tell you either). If you have enough knowledge you can kill the WSUS service, but it'll turn on every time you reboot.

Can someone explain what is so great about the pizza? From the pictures I saw pre-cruise, I had a hard time believing the pizza was good. I tried it a couple times and it seems less than average to me. I certainly would not buy it state side. What is great about thin pizza with practically no toppings? Is this an East coast thing? I enjoyed the burger in the sports bar that always came hot much better and I am not a burger person. The sports bar is now included. We ate lunch there embarkation day and there was only two other couples there.

Different strokes for different folks I guess. Those of us raised on the simple goodness of two ingredients on a finely crafted thin disk of dough can't explain the popularity of a thick bread casserole smothered in gobs of gunk either. Living now in the south, I'd drive a long way to get a pie of the quality they make on that ship (assuming it hasn't changed since I had it last)

I hope it is the same as you remember. I don't like thick crust either but I do like a ton of veggies on my pizza. I thought the food on the Divina was of equal quality to Royal Caribbean and Carnival.

Hi. Been a couple years since on Divina. Do they still have that awesome pasta & pizza on the buffet? Is there still a gelato/desert/coffee place down on one of the lower decks?

Thanks!

The pizza is good...do yourself a favor. Have lunch at the Italian place by Eataly. The yard of pizza was great and a lot of fun. I think it's like $15 or something nominal. If you are so inclined get the yard of beer with it too.

We are booked on the 7/22/17 sailing. First time cruisers with MSC booked the Fantastica experience. I know that the free drink package will be in effect for our cruise date but will those vouchers be sent to us before we sail or do we need to pick them up on board, will they be in the room? I can't seem to get a straight answer from MSC.

Ok, When I went they did not yet give the vouchers with the package...but we had bought a couple books of them. In that instance, we had to go to the casino and pick them up once we boarded. My assumption is that with so many people getting them the casino pick up may not be practical. If I had to guess I would think that you would get them at check in...we have no way of knowing yet, but I would be surprised if they mailed them to you. Cruise lines don't mail much anymore. Just my educated guess.

I think there will be instructions on your e-ticket.

When I printed out ours, in section 03 Your Purchased Services, there is a set of "vouchers." When we booked our cruise one of the all-inclusive drink packages was included and I think that will be on our cruise card so we don't have to pick up drink vouchers, but I also purchased a shore excurison and specialty dining. On those vouchers, in the description or note section, it tells me how to use them.

The shore excursion voucher says, "Shore excursion tickets will be delivered to your stateroom no later than the end of the day after embarkation."

The speciality dining voucher says, "Our Maître d'hôtel will assist you with planning and reservation of your prepaid experiences."

Im guessing there will be a voucher in that section of your e-ticket that will tell you where to get the vouchers you will use on board.

The "gotcha" with the maitre'd is that he's almost never around. You can, however, just book/reserve directly with the restaurant in question (just mention the package), or the *assistant* maitre'd is usually a little more available. She seemed to be more available at the steakhouse entrance. Just an FYI.

  • 3 weeks later...

The Fantastica experience includes 12 vouchers per person. Our family is comprised of 2 adults and 2 kids. Does anybody know if the kids' vouchers can be used for adult beverages? Not that my kid is lush, but I would rather use the vouchers for the more costly alcoholic drinks and pay out of pocket for sodas and juices!
