Deep68 Posted December 26, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 26, 2016 Is it correct that on embarkation day concierge class travelers can dine in the main dining room for lunch? If so if they are travelling with other non concierge class travelers would they be allowed to join them?
jelayne Posted December 26, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 26, 2016 Yes there is lunch for those in Conciegre class - believe it is from 11:30- 1. Passengers not in Conciegre can't attend the lunch.
blueboro Posted December 27, 2016 #3 Share Posted December 27, 2016 In looking at the previously posted menu for that lunch, it is very limited with few choices. So our group may continue to fight the madness in the Oceanview.
bobby's girl Posted December 27, 2016 #4 Share Posted December 27, 2016 Only 2 choices for main dishes after boarding in November on Reflection. Neither choice sounded good and although we would have loved the quiet lunch we went with the masses. Not a good perk in my mind.
bertrande Posted December 27, 2016 #5 Share Posted December 27, 2016 For embarkation lunch, are the choices only the Oceanview? Are Blu and Luminae open for Aqua and Suite passengers respectively?
Gonzo70 Posted December 27, 2016 #6 Share Posted December 27, 2016 Luminae is open for lunch on boarding day but not Blu.
kencr Posted December 27, 2016 #7 Share Posted December 27, 2016 We were on Silhouette in May 2016 Baltic cruise lunch menu had 3 starters , 3 main courses (one fish, one meat and one pasta) and 3 desserts. maybe 75 pp at 11:30 and when we left maybe 100 pp. What surprises me is that each ship has different standards for service, food and other little things. Select dining was handled differently on Silhouette then Solstice. Silhouette was orderly and only select diners on starboard side deck 4.Solstice was messy, mixed diners, reserve diners with select diners, one line and wait line. joanne2 Posted December 27, 2016 #8 Share Posted December 27, 2016 On Infinity in October the lunch included lamb chops, fish, and another entree. The food was wonderful but the best part was sitting down, relaxing and being waited on after check-in and then the chance to easily meet other cc folks. I think it's the best of the Concierge Class perks, and I'm really happy it's been added! Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app

On the Solstice select diners are on one level and traditional diners the level below. Select diners enter on the starboard side which is filled up and spillover is on the port side. On the Constellation select were on one level and traditional on another. Would be surprised if Silhouette was any different
tassie cruiser Posted December 27, 2016 #11 Share Posted December 27, 2016 We are currently onboard Solstice.. we are concierge and went to the lunch. Yes, it was a little limited but what was on there was sooooo delicious... when entering dining room, they put your bags/carry on in a corner of the room so you don't have to carry it around.. food, drinks, service was awesome.. was nice and quiet and thoroughly worth it , as the buffet is always packed on that first day,, really nice way to start the cruise. if you can't find something on the menu, well, what can I say..... maybe we aren't fussy I can't fault it. :)
varoo Posted December 27, 2016 #12 Share Posted December 27, 2016 (edited) You can ask to see the menu before deciding whether to go in. Sometimes they post it outside the door. It is a very limited menu with few choices, so if we see something on it that we want to eat, we go in. Otherwise we head for the buffet or grill, or the Aqua Spa Cafe if it is open that day. We used to like Bistro on Five for lunch, but don't care for sushi, which has replaced it. If you have embarkation lunch in Luminae and don't want what is on the menu, they will bring you substitutions, but they don't do that at the embarkation lunch in the MDR. We sat by a window and watched them still loading supplies from the pier. We had a lovely lunch with choices for starters, entree and dessert. Great table service rather than get your own at the buffett. I had the Prem beverage package, so the bubbly kept coming. It was the best way to start a cruise... Love booking a C1 aft cabin too. ChucktownSteve Posted December 28, 2016 #15 Share Posted December 28, 2016 I agree that it was much more pleasant to be seated and served in a civil manor. Here is the Concierge lunch menu on the Equinox 12/9/16. I'll let you decide if you like it or not. ;)
sorahan Posted December 28, 2016 #16 Share Posted December 28, 2016 Our 'perk' was wasted! We flew and transferred, all booked through Celebrity. The Coach waited for about 45 minutes about 200 yards from the ship. We weren't allowed to get off as it was too 'dangerous'. We were then escorted to the back of the queue to check in, even though we explained we had concierge class and there was a priority line. Got on board at 12:45, went to the MDR and the waiters said we were too late for the lunch! Some perk!! Be nice or leave [emoji3]
Duanerice1 Posted December 28, 2016 #17 Share Posted December 28, 2016 We always eat in the Aqua Spa on embarkation day. Open to everyone. Quiet, decent food, nice way to start the cruise.
BCJO Posted October 3, 2017 #18 Share Posted October 3, 2017 We enjoyed the CC lunch, there were 3 entree choices, I had salmon, can't recall what DH had but it was peaceful in the MDR and lunch was very good.

It should be known that 1:00 PM is the end of the lunch, not a be seated by time. Hearing that Blu is closed for lunch on embarkation day, maybe they should do the Concierge Class lunch in there. Give CC cabins a chance to see what it's like at the "next level" and an incentive to upgrade on their next sailing.
E-500 Posted October 4, 2017 #20 Share Posted October 4, 2017 Would love to see BLU open on the first day for lunch for Aqua guests. Understand it probably is a staffing issue. All hands on deck in the buffet to handle the crowds there?.

san diego spartan Posted October 6, 2017 #24 Share Posted October 6, 2017 Ok we are on Eclipse and just a regular veranda cabin. What are lunch options? Buffett of course. Acqua spa? If so what do they offer for the 1st lunch? Previously on REflection we had option of Bistro on 5 and I believe one other place for lunch (fee) - anything like that on Eclipse? Thank you!
