Excursion Help!

Recommended Posts

Labadee Haiti is Royal Caribbean's private "island" (it is really a peninsula, not an island). No excursion is necessary. You can just walk off the ship and onto a beach. There are lounge chairs and umbrellas available for free, but it's nice to bring a few dollars to tip the person who sets them up for you. There is also a Haitian Flea Market (high pressure sales/bargaining) and an Artisan's Market (fixed-price, no pressure) so you might want to bring some dollars ashore to shop. Otherwise, Royal Caribbean brings a BBQ lunch ashore (for free) and you can get beverages using your sea pass.

San Juan: The pier is located in the historical district. Again, no excursion is necessary. It's very walker-friendly (except for maybe the 80 year old) and there are two forts to explore.

St Maarten: check out Bernard's Tours. We enjoyed it, and it comes very highly recommended here on CC and on TripAdvisor

Hello! I have a group of 10 people, going on the Oasis of the Seas June 11-17, 2017, ages ranging from 9-80ish. One 9 year old, 5 of us in our 30s, 3 in their 60s, one in their 80s.

What excursions do y'all recommend for:

St. Maarten

San Juan

Haiti

With that many people, don't rule out private excursions. If it is everyone's first time in St Martin I would recommend BERNARD'S Tours, you will get to see a lot of the island and they will get you back in plenty of time.

Remember, not everyone in your party needs to do the same thing! If you want to book something thru the ship it's usually available about 60 days out...maybe sooner...maybe later, but AROUND that timeframe! Aunt and Grandma can take a tour...you can go to a beach!

If you want to book something outside of the ship, you can do that whenever you want! Simply google the places you'll visit along with what activity you want...lots of info pops up!

A guidebook is very handy to find out ALL there is in each spot (except for Labadee, which will have not guidebook info, since it's private)
