Rare Scrapnana Posted January 7, 2017 #26 Share Posted January 7, 2017 I didn't realize they had no tugs. It does look quite breezy there and you definitely don't want to bang up the new ship.

Happily@Sea Posted January 7, 2017 #29 Share Posted January 7, 2017 Missed the Koningsdam. Does anyone know if this was her Maiden Call? Roy According to my schedules for Nov and Dec - yes. She didn't arrive in the US until Nov 9, and she's been doing mostly Eastern Carib with Southern or Tropical added as a collector, every once in a while. gentlemancruiser Posted January 7, 2017 #35 Share Posted January 7, 2017 Late departures to allow the airlines to get passengers to the ships. Air Canada has added flights to get everyone into and back from FLL. 2 extra flights this evening as well because the AM flight was cancelled because Terminal 2 not open this morning. There was a 777-300 from Toronto into MIA to help get everyone home. 2 Air Canada planes (767 & 319) were held in FLL last night.

Rare rafinmd Posted January 7, 2017 #38 Share Posted January 7, 2017 So did the Koningsdam actually dock in Key West today and she just left early? That's correct. The early departure decision must have been made early. She left almost 2 hours early. Roy

Boytjie Posted January 7, 2017 Author #42 Share Posted January 7, 2017 (edited) Oh my, Peter! Are RCC ships still going out of NJ in the winter? Anthem of the Seas is the only one in winter. NCL Gem and Breakaway are regularly sailing from the Manhattan piers. Edited January 7, 2017 by Boytjie
Krazy Kruizers Posted January 7, 2017 #43 Share Posted January 7, 2017 Just got home and I see that all 6 ships will be having late departures. Between the mess at Ft Lauderdale airport and all the snow storms, it certainly making a bad day for people getting to the ships.

Krazy Kruizers Posted January 8, 2017 #48 Share Posted January 8, 2017 It is very strange to see so many ships still in Port Everglades in the dark! It is strange. But you have to give them credit for trying to wait for as many passengers as they can. I wonder if it will be a big mess tomorrow as well?
