Just came home Sunday from this cruise. Had a great trip...can't really think of a vacation that I did not love!! If you have any questions that the several reviews for this trip have not answered, please ask and I will try and answer. We are Diamond members and did use the lounge several times during the cruise.

Did you use any of your diamond drink coupons at other bars? Did you have any issues getting drinks that you'd normally get in the DL? I've had issues on Freedom getting drinks at outside bars with the coupon even though the DL bartenders would gladly make them in the lounge. Hoping to avoid that in April if possible.

Welcome back! We are doing this same itinerary in April but on the Harmony. I have question for you regarding Nassau. We are a family of 6 interested in seeing Atlantis but not doing a tour since those are so expensive and the time allotted is so short. Is there a way to go see Atlantis via taxi or is it not worth the hassle with the short time frame being there? That's the one port where we have nothing planned.

Not really "coupons" the drinks vouchers are pre-loaded onto your SeaPass. You shouldn't have any problem just tell them when ordering and they'll let you know what drinks and alcohol brands are included. Also you can get these voucher drinks at several bars onboard as well as some dining venues...we found this out on our most recent cruise....So just ask.

the 3 drinks are pre loaded everyday on your sea card. We had absolutely no trouble getting our drinks all over the ship, including the shows. They sometimes took only one card and took 2 drinks off it, instead of making us hand over both cards. The hours in the DL were 5-8:30. There are are signs in the DL that say that drinks are not to be taken out of the lounge, but this is not enforced at all. In fact, they sometimes asked if we wanted them to bring 2, so we could take one with us to dinner or the show. A couple times we walked into dinner with a glass of wine in our hand from the DL.

Also just a reminder that you can bring 2 bottles of wine per cabin onto the ship when you board. You can take these to the dinning room WITHOUT a corkage charge.

Glad to hear that you didn't have any issues with the pre-loaded 3 drinks. I'm familiar with them, having cruise a few times with them on my card since making D. However, we had several issues at bars other than the DL when trying to use them to order a drink that they made me in the DL. You're supposed to only be able to use the pre-loaded ones when ordering a drink that is served in the DL (so no frozen drinks and such). However, I get a margarita on the rocks in the DL over and over, and when I ordered it at one of the outside bars, they refused. This happened more than once. I even went to the D concierge and told him about it.

Just hate ordering and then being made to feel like I was trying to rip off the system.

Thanks, we are on same itinerary Allure next Sunday. Did you do any excursions??

We just walked around in Nassau, as we had been there before. In the past we took a taxi or ferry over to Atlantis, to just look around. It is very beautiful and I feel worth it to do it once. But if you have kids, they would probably be a bit bored unless you purchased the package to use the water facilities/slides/pools. I have read on these boards that you can get a room at a hotel next door and they will then let you use the Atlantis facilities. You just check in when the ship docks, your given you pass for Atlantis, and if time is short, you never even go back to the other hotel. I believe its a Comfort Inn, but you could get that info on the Nassau board.

In St Thomas we chartered a sail boat by using the recommendations on this board. we had a great time.

In St Maartin we waiting till most everyone got off and took a taxi to Maho Beach...that's the beach where the planes land over your head. We had our bathing suits on...stayed several hours eating, drinking and swimming while watching the planes land and take off.

I agree!! I did not find that an issue. I actually had a Blue Martini in the Rising Tide Bar using my DL drink card. When I asked for it in the DL, they had no idea how to make it! So I had the opposite problem. My girlfriend and I asked for a 17.00 glass of wine in one of the bars. We held our breath, but he came back with it. So not sure how it works, it might be just who you get as a bartender

I was still emerald when last on Allure, but I might return to Allure in 2019. Is the DL in the same place on Oasis? (deck 11 and 12 overlooking the boardwalk if I remembe right. I've never been on Allure without Ken Rush. He did run a great Quest.

How was the Maho Beach. We are planning on heading there. I heard there is a restaurant/bar nearby??

The taxi ride (either by water or car) is $4 pp each way.

You really can't go anywhere other than the casino in Atlantis without purchasing some kind of tour package. The package that let you walk around part of the grounds and see the aquarium was $46pp for adults.

We were able to wonder around the Casino, the lobby, a restaurant, the docks and gift shops without buying any kind of a package. Its a beautiful area, but once was enough! Meals were quite expensive.

The DL is on 11 and 12, overlooking the boardwalk, so same as the Oasis. And we never miss the Quest!!

We love Maho beach. the bar/restaurant is right on the beach at the airport, its right where you are dropped off by the taxi. Its always very crowded, we sit at the bar till someone gets up from one of the tables and work our way to a table by the water. We had lunch this time, food was good and reasonably priced. You can rent beach chairs/umbrellas there as well. There are always lots of taxis there to take you back to ship or to the shopping area. You can then walk back to the ship or take the water taxi/ferry back to the ship.

were the menus in the MDR still the old ones (with the small changes/eliminations) or are they new ones (like on Oasis)?

Did you eat in the CK? If so, still 2 menus or are there multiple?

Can't help with this one. Did not eat in CK and I don't know what the old menus looked like, as this was the first time I was on the Allure or that class of ship. Sorry, maybe someone else can answer this one?
