Memtn901 Posted January 29, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2017 Hi folks: Boarding the Star bound for HI on March 13 and wondering how to find out what will be on MUTS... It's so much fun to watch a good picture on MUTS with so many sea days (and nights) that I'd like to avoid watching a potential offering. But it's cold and gets dark early at home which is prime movie watching time. Does anyone know how movies are curated and when its done? Is it system wide?? Input? Thanks! caribill Posted January 29, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2017 About two weeks before the cruise starts you should get an E-mail from Princess which will list some of the movies on your cruise. The movies in general will be ones recently released (or about to be released) on DVD. There are several current threads where posters have shown Patters from the cruise. Look for these and you will get an idea what is currently playing. It does not matter which ship's Patters you look at as all ships have about the same movies. Since you are not cruising until mid-March, be aware that some of the movies do change at the start of a new month. So some of the current movies will be replaced by newer ones in early February and in early March.
easyboy Posted January 29, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 29, 2017 Does anyone know how movies are curated and when its done? Is it system wide?? Input? Thanks! Movies shown on MUTS are also scheduled to be shown on in-cabin TV at a separate time.
floridalover5623 Posted January 29, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 29, 2017 They've recently stopped sending notices about the movies to be shown on the ships. I guess they change to fast to keep up with them. Here are a few form January on the CB. I'm sure they'll be shown in March with a few newer ones also. skynight Posted January 29, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 29, 2017 Realize that it can be cool at night while crossing the Pacific to Hawaii. Bring a warm sweater or sweatshirt.

Fl Lover: Several of those offerings look worthy of watching. Thanks for the post. And sknight: we did this route this time of year 2013 (on the Grand from SFO) so we're aware of the potential nip in the air early on and on the way back...but thanks for the heads up! The Grand MUTS played Elvis' Blue Hawaii on that trip...It never looked so good! It was great seeing a fellow Memphian on the trip! Thanks again! catwoman6226 Posted January 30, 2017 #7 Share Posted January 30, 2017 We'll be on the Star in a few weeks for the Hawaii trip and I am hoping to see Blue Hawaii on MUTS. One of my favorite movies of all time!
Astro Flyer Posted January 30, 2017 #8 Share Posted January 30, 2017 (edited) We'll be on the Star in a few weeks for the Hawaii trip and I am hoping to see Blue Hawaii on MUTS. One of my favorite movies of all time! We sailed the Star earlier this month & unlike other cruises they didn't list all of the MUTS movies in the first day Patter but instead all of the great King Kamehameha Festival activities. Evening: Florence Foster Jenkins Sing Street Hunt for the Wilderpeople Jack Reacher: Never Go Back Jason Bourne Now You See Me 2 Star Wars: The Force Awakens Warcraft Star Trek Beyond The Legend of Tarzan The Man Who Knew Infinity The Secret Life of Pets Keeping Up with the Joneses Daytime: Ant Man Grease Now You See Me Finding Dory Juraissic World (new) Night & Day The Pink Pather (original) Pitch Perfect 2 Galaxy Quest The Jungle Book (2016) Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children Captain America: Civil War Avengers: Age of Ultron The Proposal The Princess Bride Edited January 30, 2017 by Astro Flyer
ntvsdgrl Posted February 4, 2017 #9 Share Posted February 4, 2017 I'm on the same trip. My last two trips have been to Alaska and too cold to be out at night. I'm hoping a little warmer, be it cool, and experience MUTS for the first time.

If that is the list of stuff being shown, we might be better off not know. They all sound horrible. DON

DON Some of them weren't all that bad. I usually watch every movie that comes out and skip the popular ones that I know will be on the ships. If nothing strikes you a being good enough you can always go to the casino or go see piano man again for the umpteenth time. ;)
