Ruby Princess Questions

What dinning room is used for traditional dinning & which dinning room is used for embarkation days lunch? Any other dinning room options besides the buffet?

I understand that the Ruby is a sister ship to the Crown which I was on last month. Are there any differences?

Thanks for everyone's response.

Thanks!

Any difference btw the Ruby & Crown?

o Sabatini's on the Ruby has been changed into Share.

o Shore Excursions desk on the Ruby is on deck 7 near the Wheelhouse Bar. On the Crown it is on deck 6 near Guest Services.

o Captain's Circle desk on the Ruby is on deck 7 near the Wheelhouse Bar. On the Crown it is on deck 6 near Guest Services.

o Rear facing cabins on Riviera deck on the Crown are Oceanview, On the Ruby they are balcony cabins.

Second bullet is actually the reverse: Ruby has Shore Ex on 7, Circle Desk on 6; Crown, the opposite.

One former difference was the absence on Crown of the jogging track, sports court and platinum studio on deck 19 accessed by a narrow stairs next to the entrance to Skywalkers. But according to the current deck plans all three of Crown, Emerald and Ruby have them there now. (FWIW, when I was on Ruby two years ago the sports court was almost exclusively reserved for teen activities)

Step 1: when (slowly) boarding the ship, observe the midship MDRs from the gangplank. You'll see humans near the windows in one and not the other. Knowing that one is on deck 5 and the other is on deck 6, now you know.

Step 2: once aboard the ship, carefully ask the staff this exact question: "Which dining room is open for lunch today?" If you ask it that way, they have to answer you correctly, even though they will then point you towards the buffet.

Step 3: once in your cabin, check your Patter.

Step 4: once near the ship, join the ship's Wifi network and launch the Princess app (it's free for intranet use). You should be able to view your Patter in the app.

My point is simple: they could switch it up on you due to repairs, etc. You have plenty of resources available to figure it out upon arrival.
