I printed my luggage tags how will they not rip right off the luggage??

Past cruises heavy plastic type luggage tags were provided like airlines use.

Most people just fold and staple them shortly before arriving at the pier (after flying) and seem to do just fine. Other folks use clear packing tape to cover the tags, then staple them on. And some folks purchase luggage tag holders which are easily found on Amazon.

In the past...I have completely covered them in heavy duty packing tape and put them on handles..using stapler.

I laminate mine. If you haven't got a laminator, try to borrow one!

The easiest way to do it is to have the porters give you tags when you get to the pier. Write your name and cabin number on them and you are good to go.

I bought some clear luggage tag holders way back when that I use each cruise.

I use packing tape to laminate them then staple them to close.

Clear vinyl holders are soooo worth the money. Mine even have a metal grommet and a wire loop that goes through to attach to the handle so there's just no way they will ever detach accidentally.

We've done it both ways .You can buy a package of self-laminating material at stores like Walmart . Recently bought the clear plastic tag holders since we've started to cruise a couple of times a year . This Spring will be my first time using them .They seem really sturdy and have the metal grommet etc. as described in a previous post .

I actually bought plastic tags to put mine in. I got them from ebay. Pretty reasonably price!

Do not Staple them, tape them. A staple is like a bent needle that easily go right into a person hand even with gloves on. Many people including yourself will handle your bags before you unpack them. The last thing you want is to have a baggage handler get mad at your bag and throw it or misdirect on purpose, stranger things have happened.

We use the clear packing tape, punch a hole in it, and then use a twist tie to attach it to the luggage. It works well for us.
